et tout prisonnier détenu dans une des prisons de ce district, pourra être transféré dans une autre prison, lorsque le Lieutenant-Gouverneur le jugera nécessaire, avec le même effet que si l'offense ou le crime pour lequel ce prisonnier est ainsi détenu, eût été commis dans le district où se trouve telle autre prison, et toute personne arrêtée pour quelque offense ou crime, et dont l'incarcération aura été ordonnée par autorité compétente, pourra être incarcérée dans l'une ou l'autre de ces prisons avec le même effet ; et que toute telle personne ou prisonnier sera détenue dans telle autre prison jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit dûment élargie, suivant la loi, ou jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit de nouveau ramenée dans la prison d'où elle aura été ainsi transportée, pour subir son procès dans la cour compétente ; and ever)' prisoner detained in one of the prisons of the said district may be transferred to another prison whenthe Lieutenant Governor may deem it necessary, with tbe same effect as if the crime or offence for which said prisoner is thus detained, had been committed in the district where such other prison is situated ; and all persons arrested for any offence or crime and condemned to imprisonment by competent authority, may be so imprisoned in either one of such prisons with tbe same effect ; and that all such prisoners or persons shall be detained in such other prison until discharged therefrom in due course of law, or until Ihey be brought back to the gaol, from whence they came, for the purpose of standing their trial before a competent court.AND WHEREAS the Lieutenant Governor of Oui-Province of Quebec has, by the advice and consent of the Executive Council of Our said Province, considered it advisable, in the interests of the Administration of Justice, that the common gaol of each of the districts of Terrebonne, Iberville, Saint Hyacinthe, Richelieu, Saint Francis and Three Rivers, should also be the common gaol and house of correction for the district of Montreal ;
