Le canton Boîaolerc est borné au nord et il I est par les terres vacantes de la Couronne, au sud et au sud-ouest par la rivière Ottawa, et à l'ouest partie par les terres vacantes de la Couronne et partie par Ja dite rivière Ottawa.Les limites du dit canton sont comme suit, savoir : Une ligne droite de quatre-vingt-seire chaînes et quatre-vingts chaînons (96e.SO) de longueur, établi dans la direction du nord vrai, ipii part de la borne de pierre plantée pour marquer le sommet de l'angle sud-ouest du dit canton, sur la rive gauche de l'Ottawa, à environ cent douze (112)chaînes, (distance mesuré en ligue droite) eu amont de l'embouchure du cours d'eau connu sous le nom de \"Snake Creek \", et qui se termine à un point qui marque le sommet de l angle nord-ouest du dit canton ; de là.une droite de huit cent quatre-vingt-dix-sept (H'.»7) chaînes de largeur, menée dans la direction de l'est vrai, et se terminant à un point qui marque le Sommet de l'angle nord-est du dit canton ; du lit.une autre droite de sept cent quarante-quatre chainvs et quarante chaînons (741c.40) do longueur, allant dans la direction du sud vrai, et se terminant à une borne de pierre p'autéo sur la rive nord ou rive gauche de l'Ottawa, pour y indiquer le sommet de l'angle sud-est du dit canton ; de là, entin la dite rivo gaucho do l'Ottawa on remontant la rivière jusqu'à la borne ci-haut mentionnée, plantée au sommet de l'angle sud-ouest du dit canton, la distance eu ligne din eu entre ces deux bornes étant d'environ onze cent deux (1102) chaînes.Sont comprises aussi dans le dit territoire du canton Boisclerc.toutes les îles de la province de Que bec, situées dans la rivière Ottawa, en front du territoire décrit plus haut.Le dit canton Boisclerc a une superficie d'environ quarante-trois mille cinq cent soixante et cinq (4:1505) acres.Et i»f.plus, conformément aux dispositions du dit acte, déclarons et ordonnons par les présentes que le PREMIER jour du mois de MU prochain (1896), sera le jour à compter duquel et.après lequel Notre présente Proclamation viendra en force, et que la dite étendue de terre, telle que ci-dessus délimitée et décrite, et toute et chaque partie d'icelle sera et demeurera, a compter du dit PRE.M 1ER jourïlu mois de MAI prochain (18i>5), un canton sous le nom du canton BOISCLERC, à toutes tins et intentions quelconques, nonobstant toute erreur dans les bornes, tout faux nom, ou toutes autres imperfections ou omissions touchant la dite étendue de terre pâlies présentes établie en un canton sous le nom de canton BOISCLERC, comme susdit.De tout ce que dessus tous Nos féaux sujets et tous autres que les présentes pourront concerner, sont requis de prendre connaissance et de se conduire en conséquence.En Foi de QUOI, Nous avons fait rendre nos présentes Lettres Patentes, et à icellos fait apposer le grand Sceau do Notre Province de Québec : TÉMOIN, Notre Fidèle et Bien-Aimé, l'honorable .JOSEPH ADOLPHE CHAPLEUT, membre de Notre Conseil Privé pour le TlIKItKKoiu:, under the authority of the aforesaid Act of the Parliament of Our nited Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, We have constituted, and by this Our Royal Proclamation, We do constitute into a township, under the name of township BOISCLERC, the said extent of Our wild I lands, situate and being ill the said county of PONTIAC, In the said district of PONTTA0, in Our said Province of Quebec, and bounded and described ss follows, in and by the report of the Honorable Edmund .James Flyun, Our Commissioner of Crown Lands, in Our said Pro vinee of Quebec, made to the Lieutenant Governor i of Our said Province, to wit : The township Boisolero is bounded on the north and on the east by the vacant, lots of the Crown, on the south and south west, by the Ottawa river, and on the West partly by the vacant lots of the Crown and partly by the sud Ottawa river.The limits of the said township are as follows, to wit : A straight line of ninety-six chains and eighty links (96 c.801.) in length, running in a direction due north, starting from the stone boundary planted to mark tlie extremity of the south west angle of the said township, on the left bank of the Ottawa, at about mie hundred and twelve ( 112) chains (distance measured in straight line) above the mouth of the water course known by the name of \" Snake Creek \" and which ends at a point marking the extremity of the north west angle of the said township .from thence a straight line of eight, hundred and ninety-seven (897) chains in width, drawn in a direction true east, and ending at a point which marks the extremity of the north east angle of the saiil township ; from thence another straight line of seven hundred and forty-four chains and forty links (744 c.40 I.) in length, running in a direction due south and eliding at a stonu boundary planted ou the north or left bank of the Ottawa to indicate there the extremity of the south cast angle of the said township ;
