village or rural municipalities, the division of such municipalities or their annexation, in whole or in part, to other municipalities, whether of cities, towns or villages, in one and the same county, or also order the alteration of the boundaries of those already existing, provided that application to that effect be made by the majority of the proprietors of immoveable property situated within the limits of the territory whereof the erection into a municipality or the division, or the annexation to a municipality, is applied for, and provided also that, after such change, each municipality still possesses, as the case may be, the populati n or the number of iidiabited houses required by law; Whereas a petition signed by the majority of the proprietors of the immoveable property comprised within that certain territory situated in the municipality of the parish of Saint-Joseph-d'Alma, has been presented to Us, making application to erect thi3 territory into a village municipality : Whereas it hath been shewn to Us that this territory contains at least forty inhabited houses within a spue not exceeding sixty superficial arpents ; Whereas it hath also been shewn to Us that the original plan made according to the requirements of the law, and showing the territory sought to be erected into a village municipality, as well as all other cadastral subdivisions, in the maimer determined by the provisions of the Civil Code having reference thereto, has been approved by Our Minister of Lands and Forests ; Whereas all the other requirements of the law for the erection of village municipalities have been complied with and that in consequenca We have deemed fit to grant the application mada to Us for the erection of the village of Saint-Josephd'Alma ; NOW KNOW YE, territory, viz: All the territory bounded as follows: The territory to be erected into a separate and distinct municipalitiy under the name ot \"Municipality of the village of Saint-Joseph-d'Alma\" in the county of Lake Saint John, is detached from the municipality of the parish of Saint Joseph-d'Alma, and the boundaries thereof, with reference to the numbering of the lots of the official cadastre of the townships ot Signay, Labarre and Delisle, of which certain parts thereof form part, are described as follows, to wit : Commencing at the point where the division line of the lots numbers 18a and 19a ot the ninth range of Signay township meets the left bank of the Little Discharge of the river Saguenay, said division line in a southwesterly direction, to the line between the eight and ninth ranges of said township; thence, this last line in a southwesterly direction to the southeast side of Alma roa then said sid% of said road in a northeasterly direction, to the reai line of Saguenay range in Labarre township, and this rear line in a southeasterly direction to the division line of the lots numbers one A and two A of said Saguenay range; thence, towards the northeast the
