and when the employee has reached the age of 19, his minimum rate is that which is provided for the first three (3) months iu Class IN', and such rate shall l>e increased, as indicated, for the second three (3) months and so on.2.No employee is entitled to the minimum hourly rate fixed for a classified operation, unless he has a year's experience in the industry, not necessarily in the same industrial establishment, due allowance being made for the restriction I rovided for iu the p ecedeing subsection respecting employees of less than 19 years of age.When the above conditions have Been fulfilled, every employer shall pay to every employee performing a elassiiied operation, at least the rate provided for such operation.4.If an employee performs several operations, he shall receive as his regular rate, at least the highest rate provided for in the above classification.5.The expe: ience acquired in the industry, at the time when the present decree becomes effective, is to be taken into account for the immediate application of the above mentioned rates.IV.The above mentioned clauses cannot, in any event, permit the reduction of the wage rates actually paid, either by the hour or for piece work.V.Regular working week and overtime.Zones I.II and III.a) The regular working week in Zones I, U and III consists of fifty (50) hours, that is, nine (9) hours per day from Monday to Friday inclusively, and five (5) hours on Saturday.6) During the regular working week described above, work shall be performed between 7.00 a.m.and 6.00 a.m., from Monday to Friday inclusively, and between 7.00 a.m.and 12 o'clock noon on Saturday.c) E -cry year, from the first pay period of June to the first pay period of October there shall be no work on Saturday morning.In such case, in order to maintain the regular working week indicated in the first subsection of the present section, the regular working day shall not exceed ten (10) hours and the work shall be performed from Monday to Friday inclusively, between 7.00 a.m.and 6.00 p.m., unless an agreement to the contrary has been made.Any work performed outside the regular hours provided for here-inabove shall be remunerated at the rate of time and one half.d) The regular work week for employees committed to shipping, maintenance and repair .\u2022\u2022hall consist of fifty (50)hours and the regular working day shall not exceed ten (10) hours, 2042 GAZETTE OFFICIELLE DE QUÉBEC, Québec, 17 juillet 1948, Tome 80, N° 29 restriction quant à l'heure du début et de la fin du travail.Tout travail exécuté après cinquante (50) heures doit être rémunéré au taux de salaire et demi.e) La semaine normale des chauffeurs de bouilloires et des mécaniciens de machines fixes, est de cinquante-six (56) heures, sans autre restriction.Tout travail exécuté après cinquante-six (56) heures doit être rémunéré au taux de salaire et demi.f) Les dispositions qui précèdent ne s'appliquent pas aux gardiens, aux chauffeurs de camions et aides, aux préposés aux camions, aux conducteurs de voitures à traction animale et aides.g) Nonobstant ce qui précède, l'employeur a le droit d'employer une équipe régulière de nuit, entre sept (7) heures p.m.et six (6) heures a.m., sauf le samedi et le dimanche.La règle du travail supplémentaire, à raison de salaire et demi, s'applique aux travailleurs de l'équipe régulière de nuit, en dehors des heures ci-haut indiquées.h) Sauf entrente au contraire, si une équipe régulière travaille moins de cinquante (50) heures, les salariés concernés reçoivent leur taux régulier, à temps simple, jusqu'à concurrence de cinquante (50) heures par semaine, après quoi la règle du temps supplémentaire à raison de sais ire et demi s'applique.VI.Dimanches et jours de fêtes: a) Zone I: Tout travail exécuté durant l'un des jours ci-dessous mentionnés doit être rémunéré au taux de salaire double: tous les dimanches; le 1er de l'An; le Vendredi Saint; ' la Saint-Jean-Baptiste; la Confédération; la Fête du Travail; la Toussaint et le jour de Noël.b) Zones II et III.Tout travail exécuté durant l'un des jours ci-dessous mentionnés doit être rémunéré au taux de salaire et demi: tous les dimanches; le Premier de l'An; l'Epiphanie; le Vendredi Saint; l'Ascension; la Toussaint; l'Immaculée Conception et le Jour de Noel.La même règle s'applique aux jours de la Saint-Jean-Baptiste, de la Confédération et de la Fête du Travail, en ce qui concerne les manufacturiers de meubles qui se trouvent dans une localité où ces jours sont déclarés fêtes publiques.Les dispositions du présent article ne s'appliquent pas aux chauffeurs de bouilloires, mécaniciens de machines fixes, gardiens, chauffeurs de camions et aides ou préposés aux camions.VH.Aucun employeur n'a le droit de punir ou de menacer de punir, tel que par congédiement ou suspension, directement ou indirectement, un ouvrier qui s'absente du lieu de travail un dimanche ou un jour de fête religieuse.VIII.Minimum de paie.Tout salarié requis de se présenter à l'usine pour son travail doit recevoir une rémunération minimum équivalente à trois (3) heures de travail.Les dispositions du présent article ne s'appliquent pas à un arrêt des opérations de l'usine et d'un département, dans tous les cas de force majeure.IX.Paiement du salaire.Le montant total de la paie, le nombre d'heures de travail, le temps supplémentaire et le taux horaire doivent être inscrits sur l'enveloppe de paie.X.Vacances payées.Tout salarié assujetti au présent décret a droit à des vacances payées conformément aux dispositions de l'Ordonnance N°3de la Commission du Salaire Minimum de la Province de Québec.XI.Lors de la ratification de la présente convention, le comité paritaire existant, formé pour surveiller l'application du décret antérieur dans without restriction as to the hour at which work starts and finishes.Any work performed in excess of fifty (50) hours shall be remunerated at the rate of time and a half.e) The regular working week for firemen and stationary enginemen shall consist of fifty-six (56) hours, without any other restriction.Any work performed in excess of fifty-six (56) hours shall be remunerated at the rate of time and a half./) The foregoing provisions do not apply to watchmen, truck-drivers and their helpers, truckmen (préposés aux camions) nor to horse-drawn vehicle drivers and their helpers.g) Notwithstanding the foregoing, the employer has the right to employ a regular night shift, between seven (7) p.m.and six (6) a.m., except on Saturday and Sunday.The clause for overtime, at the rate of time and a half, applies to the workers of the regular night shift, for the work they perform outside the regular hours indicated hereinavove.h) Unless an agreement to the contrary be made if a regular shift works less than fifty (50) hours, the workers involved shall receive their regular rate, regular straight time, up to fifty (50) hours per week, after which the clause for overtime at the rate of time and a half shall apply.- VI.Sundays and Holiday a) Zone I: Any work performed during any one of the hereinafter mentioned holidays shall be paid at the rate of double time;
