on the part of Neil Sharp saved the day for the Devine family on Monday afternoon when their car took fire on Center Street in front of the Pontiac Printshop in Shaw-vllle.y m M t KM '1 # -y ¦few : : - # Also during 1972 the Association constructed and distributed 48 duck houses throughout the County and another four dozen are under construction for 1973 distribution.Later this year several bushels of Giant Wild Rice will be purchased for fall planting in various duck marshes throughout the County.Working with Quebec Department during 1972, the Pontiac Association arranged for the inspection and stocking or Tulip Lake, Lawless Lake, Leslie Lake, Claude Lake and the Pickanock River.Recent negotiations with the Department have resulted in ten more lakes to be inspected during 1973 for a possible stocking during 1974 or 1975.The executive of the Pontiac Association feels that it would be in the best interests of sportsmen and sportswomen throughout the county to support their organization and they solicit membership from individuals or other clubs and groups now organized.The Pontiac Association is strongly established has made important contacts with Government officials and boards.President of the Pontiac Fish and Game Protective Association is Kevin Stanton and the Membership Secretary is Don Kucharik, just happens to hold the only Quebec Games medal in Pontiac, won for marksmanship.Don is proprietor of the Shell Station across from the Oasis Motel on Highway 8 at Bryson.Membership in the Pontiac Fish and Game Protective Association is $3.00 a year.The first official trout stocking of Kelley's Lake on Calumet Island took place last Saturday, April 12, by a group of people interested In conservation In Pontiac County.For the first time ever, Park on Highway 8 beside Young's Carwash where they will be told by a team of ushers exactly where to stand so that everyone will be seen in the picture.The photographer will take the picture as soon as everyone is in place.If everyone co-operates the portrait should not take too long.It is estimated that it will take until four o'clock at the latest, providing everyone arrives at two.Neil raced yean ago by a Fellowship in the Canadian College of Dentistry.Dr Dagg has always been a keen student of local and Irish history as well as being an accomplished genealogist.The Society meets next Monday at Pontiac Protestart High School.The Pontiac Association ptrchased forty bushels of grain and distributed it to starving deer in the I^ady -smith area during the winter months.One of the Ayrshire judge, conducted the judging competition, the results of which were compiled by Ronald MacKechniq secretaty of the club, assisted by Mr Robert Dalton, of the Quebec Department of
