since January - of Renaissance Lac Brome’s objections to these two projects, but has done little or nothing to alert and educate residents of what is at stake on this file and the future of this waterway.I hope that the mayor and councillors have dearly received the message that immediate action is required to review the past decision to permit a concrete boat ramp.If this is not handled immediately, we run the risk of the MDDEP of Quebec accepting the installation of a concrete boat ramp, before the current town administration has acted on their position for this permit. The Eugene Park is a wet piece of land, even when we have had very little rain, which borders a narrow waterway that enters into a marsh. It is not reasonable to support construction of a concrete boat ramp into this ecologically sensitive waterway. The parties who wish to build this boat ramp, including road www.collegeimmobilier.com Interested in a career in Tht College of Real Estate Leaders real estate?B ecome a real estate or mortgage broker • Competency-based programs • Recognition of prior learning and skills Study at our South Shore campus In English or French Correspondence courses Many formats available Several dates in August! There’s an historical Casavant in the parish of St.Saviour Anglican in Lacolle. It is one of the most ancient unaltered Casavant Frères instruments still in good condition, yet the church is mostly empty and the organ silent.Casavants are renowned throughout the world for their integrity and tunefulness. There’s one in Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal. The instruments have a long history of reliability and a reputation for organs similar to that of the Steinway for pianos. But it’s not just organs that are threatened by the demise of organized religion.Quite apart from the liturgical aspects of a church, there is the sense of community and belonging derived from service to others and the appreciation of their place in a long history that congregations have sought and appreciated over the centuries. Now, it seems that the sort of service that churches used to provide others will soon be returned in kind. There is a group, headed by a former student from Massey Vanier High School currently negotiating to buy seven local churches, which have found themselves in financial difficulties.Together the churches will form the Seven Churches Foundation and Charity.Emmanuel United, in Cowansville is one, and Waterloo United is rumored to be a second. The plan will allow the churches to operate normally while being supported financially by the foundation.Apparently the sale has been signed, and the transfer is set to take place on September 30.So far, the group is keeping quiet about plans as the negotiations are underway, but there can be no doubt that these are parishioners who will support the values they grew up with. And if Virgil Fox can get hippies to dance to the music of Bach played on an organ - what other unlikely and happy events might be in store? After all, these churches have organs.Your generous contribution will help finance research into lung disease such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and lung cancer.Over 700,000 Quebecers who suffer from respiratory disease thank you.Toll free: 1800 295-8111 Montreal: (514) 287-7400 m m.Hi everybody!
