The background information about the Black Muslims and their “religious” beliefs is not enough to explain the savagery that the four principal “Death Angels” indulged in.but Howard develops his book in such a way that the reader is given insight into the lifestyles and social problems of the killers Their random selection of white victims has so many of the quirks of coincidental occurrences that it often appears far stranger than fiction The narrative is thoroughly as engrossing as it is gruesome, and the ritualized butchering with machetes and wire-cutters of one white captive in a prayer-loft above the Black Self Help depot in Frisco is as horrifying as anything that Manson’s sickies were responsible for By coldly amassing the detail of the atrocities.Howard can maintain a documentary approach to the mayhem, and yet.in attempting to probe the psychological motivation of these pitiable dregs of humanity he is able to create a fascinating portrait of four men who become machine-like killers “Zebra” has the elements that rivet the reader’s attention to each sordid page, and Clark Howard’s veteran status as a crime-writer assures that the narrative is never allowed to flag Although the Zebra murders did not receive the notoriety accorded New York’s Son of Sam slayings, in retrospect it is easy to see how the city of San Francisco was about to split apart due to the racial tension.fear and horror precipitated by the four Death Angels and their 32-calibre marauding Even more frightful is the realization that only six years have passed since the parade of deaths began in 1973.and in just a couple more years the four assailants will have served the slight sentence that remains when “life imprisonment” is a mere 20-year term ( minus time off for good behaviour). The people of San Francisco should be counting the days “The Regis Arms Caper” by Ross 11.Spencer (AYOY): $1.95, 158 pp.Ross Spencer’s creation of Chance Purdue as a private UvêSfigâf(*tolloWS the tisnâl dictafes of détective nctïbff He is hard-boiled, witty in a Spillaine character fashion, resourceful < the owner of a small bar ), and has a way with women that would make James Bond resentful The watering-hole that Purdue and wife Betsy run is called “Betsy’s Last Chance”, and it plays a significant role in the novel Written in one-sentence long paragraphs.Spencer's book takes on a blank-verse quality that manages to keep the reader hooked through the romp up and down the corridors of the Regis Arms Hotel in Chicago The blank verse is inventive enough, and some of the brief epigrams leading off each chapter are quite comical Purporting to be the wit and wisdom of Monroe D.Underwood, a patron of Chance Purdue’s bar.they read as follows: oncet I knowed a feller whose w ife bought a sheer nightgown and got him throwed in the loony bin., he swore up and down there was a cloud-bank in his bedroom said there was a dirigible in it.”.A missing princess from a mid-European imaginary country, noted for its exclusive production of a valuable substance, is on the loose in Chicago and it’s Purdue’s job to locate her The bizarre resolution to this light, tongue-in-cheek thriller is worth the read, and the blank verse text makes for speedreading without a lot of tedious plot twists to clutter up the Raymond Chandler glibness of Spencer’s style With very few words Spencer is able to create atmosphere and immerse the reader in the caper that is the second in w hat should hopefully be a continuing series OFF THE RECORD Mistress ( RSO-POLYGRAM ) A dynamic new group debuts in a high-energy, pulsating album that hardly relents in its driving, continuous frenzy.Mistress plays Foreigner style rock and roll, with a touch of Boston's early verve in their lead guitar lines Five players, California cool image on the cover art, lots of versatility; it all adds up to Mistress’s being a band to watch in the future Magnolia-flavoured Southern riffs dominate on “Dixie Flyer”.“China Lake”, on the other hand, smacks of Boston’s propensity for layers of vocal clout They retain all of the dirty funk of Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl”, but manage to change the harmonies and vocal blends enough to make the song work for them Members of Mistress, based in Northern California, have paid their dues over the years — lead guitarist Danny Chauncey.for instance toured with A1 Kooper.and other members performed with bands such as Cowboy, Boz Scaggs and the Allmans The influences are many, but Mistress manages to create a unique, pleasing sound Louise Goffin “Kid Blue” (ASYLl’M).On the strength of her last name alone, Louise Goffin could have attracted the ensemble of super session players present on her initial appearance in the rock biz The 19-year-old daughter of Gerry Goffin and Carole King shows that the songwriting genes have been fairly well distributed in this second-generation taste of pop rock The players have not been recruited on the influence of Louise’s parents the tunes here are able to stand on their ow n merits, and the ^oung Ms Goffin sings at least as well as her mom.if not with even a stronger voice A voice-print transcription on the vocals isn’t required for any listener to detect the family heritage that has Louise sounding like a very young Carole King — here is the same wistful, light texture to the voice.Louise’s songs are melodic, and not burdened with the sound-the-same syndrome — production by Danny Kortchmar assures that the Carole King-James Taylor understated emotions are present on this fresh slice of younger generation popdom City Boy ‘ The Day The Earth Caught Fire” ( ATLANTIC) Imagine a band that plays with the intensity of Queen’s hard rock numbers throughout an entire album and you have some idea of City Boy’s achievement on “The Day The Earth Caught Fire”.Their Atlantic album, the first on this label, is produced again by Robert John “Mutt” Lange — and the guidance of Lange must be partially faulted for the imbalance on this album Queen is such a giant in the biz, by virtue of their fine ear for balance — they alternate a screamer with a vocal tour de force such as “Find Somebody To Love”.City Boy is capable of Beatle-cloned acoustic ballads (“Beth” on their last Polydor album», but aside from a classical guitar interlude the pace never slackens on this one They are a cross between Queen and 10 cc, in the socially-aware British tradition in rock composition Their shrill, knife-edge renderings on “Modern Love Affair” are a stunning example of the City Boy metier The Queen connection is most apparent on “Machines”, a syncopated new study of the pinball-machine-sex analogy The album concludes with a four-part piece titled “Ambition”, which begins with a reggae-beat and closes with a mini-symphony which utilizes the vocal and instrumental talents of City Boy to great effect. They get top marks for creativity, even if the pacing leaves something to be desired Jethro Tull “Stormwatch” (CHRYSALIS) That flute-wielding satyr of pop rock, Ian Anderson, is back with a new Jethro Tull album that has some of the brilliance of “Aqualung” and a bit of the tedium of their last few albums Anderson’s writing can take a current topic like the North Sea Oil and turn it into a good, satirical song Several excellent cuts of a mellow nature, like “Home”, are undercut with a touch too much rather indulgent working out on the flute, as on the cutely titled “Warm Sporran” When Jethro Tull cooks they are very good when Anderson’s self-indulgence takes over they get quite boring Fans w ill be delighted with this one.and critics will be divided in their judgements of “Storm-watch” .because every child has the right to have reviewed some of the below performances in far greater details, but the many goings on over the past week found me rushing around from one to another to get a whitt ot the action PAPER WHEAT Paper Wheat owes its success to the heroic proportions of the story it sets out to tell and the comic manner in which it is told Without being didactic, the play tackles complicated questions like the economy and succeeds in making them easily understandable. The title itself is a reference to the exchange of wheat futures, that is the buying and selling of wheat before it is harvested.Lessons in economics are an integral part of Paper W heat, but delivered in a most entertaining way with hilarious skits, songs, dance, and some fine fiddling from Bill Prokop chuk In the first act.the her oes of the story are real people with whom we can identify — immigrants from diverse cultural backgrounds but basically from the same social level, drawn to the prairies by the promise of land where they can be their own boss and liberate themselves from the bottom rung of society's ladder. But, instead, the land, “The Prairie Wind” (personified in a fine song) and the elevator agents rule them.We follow the sorrows and joys of the original settlers through five characters and see them through to the point where they join together to oust the crooked grain elevator agent. The play’s major flaw be comes evident not long into the exciting second act. With the introduction of historical characters like the rural philosopher.E.A.Partridge, and the rapid historical changes < the organization of farmers to sell their own harvest on the grain exchange, the formation of a co-operative wheat pool, the bureaucratization of the co-op company, and the alienation of local farmers from the co-op they helped to create), we need something familiar to hold on to.The logical solution is to maintain a personal sense of continuity through the families with whom we came to identify in Act One There is no reason why the link from grand parents to children to grandchildren could not have been made Instead, people cease to be the principal characters of the play and the co-operative movement itself becomes the protagonist with capitalism its antagonist Which is not to say that Paper Wheat becomes boring and dogmatic. The means of conveying the messages are vaudevillean and snappy “The Grain Exchange Rag”, for example, pro vides information with a ragtime song and dance To illustrate the shrink ing returns of the wheat farmer, the talented Montreal actor, Lubomir My-kytiuk, flawlessly juggles a piece of bread < representing wheat) with two balls (representing other commodities).Keeping the two balls in motion, he con sûmes chunks of the bread until finally a mere crumb (the former’s share) is visible in the rotation.Several clever routines demonstrate the value of co-operation.Particularly ingenious is the wordless skit where Skai Leja and David Francis are handicapped in their individual attempts to tap dance Each has only one shoe, the other foot covered with a bright red sock.By dancing together, they discover that the dull thud of each stockinged foot is conveniently camouflaged The recreation of a popular radio serial, “The Whistler”, as a means of imelo-) dramatizing the battle between the monopoly of the private compan ies controlling the wheat pools and the increasingly successful Grain Growers’ Company is a stroke of genius. And the list goes on The writing is excellent but.possibly because they were unaccustomed to the large Centennial stage and theatre, the actors sometimes failed to adequately project the material, particularly some of the more delicate songs With the exception of Peter Neuse, an inexperienced actor, the quality of acting was most impressive, especially Mykytiuk’s portrayal of the Ukranian immigrant and Skai Leja as the Latvian who becomes his wife. While Mykytiuk’s ability in the song and dance department was decidedly weak, Leja’s fine voice made up for it Most versatile was Sharon Bak-ker who could switch from a dutiful wife to an ornery old cigar-toting geezer Paper Wheat, the successful Saskatchewan-based production, played at Bishop's this past week.at the drop of a hat.The members of the 25th Street House Theatre from Saskatoon are to be warmly congratulated for their marvellous creation. It is true to the people who inspired it and a thoroughly entertaining vehicle from which we, as Quebecers, can learn: “Where there is no vision, people perish.” If you missed this ambitious saga, it’s not too late to catch Paper Wheat in Montreal. It will be running for at least ten days at the Centaur Theatre beginning October 30.BALLETS JAZZ After Andre Laplante’s concert, (reviewed last! week), the Centre Culturel hosted Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal Their name says a lot about the 14-member troupe's style, a melange of chorus-1 ine-Fred Astaire dancing and traditional jazz ballet techniques, sparked by some exciting dramatic departures.Unlike the Toronto Dance Theatre which courts the distorted postures of avante-garde expression, the style of Les Ballets Jazz is less alienating but at the same time less innovative Two pieces in particular stood out.The most original work, “Les Chaises Musicales”,, choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, was an-i nounced as a world premiere and performed in rehearsal clothes “Musical Chairs” (after the children s game) is a clever springboard for individual and group routines as the members of the company compete for a declining number of chairs, finally coming together in a delicately balanced living sculpture of interlocking chairs and bodies.Driven by a tense Brazilian beat.“Kew Drive”, a Buzz Miller creation, showed strong third-world influences.Sexual and aggressive overtones powered seveal vignettes. The spectacular final freeze would have made a perfect climax to the evening’s performance but didn’t The parody combat, meant to take place in total darkness, were simultaneously breath-taking and sidesplitting as swooping swords missed bodies by fractions, the comic innkeeper a nimble foil for the swashbuckling grandeur of an overnight guest More subtle but no less impressive were the physical feats and humour in “Autumn River” With only a paddle for a prop and extraordinary footwork, an old boatman and his young passenger convey with uncanny precision the motion of a small boat making unsteady progress through perilous rapids.“The Water Flows Over The Golden Hill” brought the evening to a brilliant close - a dramatic confrontation between superbly-costumed White and Green Snake Fairies and a vicious, gaudily-masqued monk As the drama unfolded to our uncomprehending ears, literally wave upon wave of magnificent exploits uanceu Delore our eyes.A bevy of baby blue and white flags, rippling and individually manipulated by the large cast to produce the visual hallucination of waves, gave way to a most unique juggling act - a slight young woman casually tossed and kicked body-length batons to surrounding receivers with unmatched control as tension increased to the pulsating percussion beat An amazing, unending procession of acrobatics followed under the guise of battle Each of the four excerpts was enhanced with elaborate, dazzling costumes and exquisite musical accompaniment by musicians visible in the wings.A truly splendid spectacle that will not easily be forgotten For those who could not make it to Montreal, don't dismay The CBC filmed the performances CLAUDE DUBOIS There was no room to spare at La Poupee for the Claude Dubois concert a w eek ago But coming out a winner at the Quebec Music Awards earlier this fall must have gone to Dubois' head He came on rather aloof, remote from the crowd that lavished applause and cheers on the singer His tight, five-piece band provided good back up, especially some unusual drum patterns and synthesizer licks There’s no question of Dubois’ singing ability He has a rich, pow erful voice that effortlessly fills the room His lyrics vary from the mundane to probing commentaries on Sun Vu Jiao and Fu Peng.the young lo\ers in “The Jade Bracelet”, touring Canada with the Peking Opera Theatre of China in October and November, 197Î).This tour is co-ordinated b> the Touring Office of the C anada Council.our space and time. But his prize-winning “Je voulais etre un artiste” still seems to outweigh his other material.Claude Dubois will be at the Hotel Wellington next week W hy not see for yourself9 CITROUILLE Citrouille, the Jean Barbeau play at the Centre Culturel was quite a surprise Expecting a satiric but realistic treatment of women's fate at the hands of men, I was disappointed to find no more than a popular farce glorified by its serious subject matter The play's best feature was the vivacious performance of Denis Mercier as a kidnap victim forced to submit to all kinds of degrading insults which are laughable because they place the male in a role traditionally assigned to women The high points of the play comes at the end of Act One when Monsieur Lemoine (Mercier), a publisher of porno rags, is made to strip and pose for lurid photos to the shocked delight of the full house Frontal male nudity right here in Sherbrooke’ The second act is anti-climactic and drags somewhat as the three female kidnappers take turns in a didactic roll-call of the very real injustices suffered by women Framed in a preposterous context where suspension of belief is constantly demanded, the serious aspects of the play are trivialized and even become boring Pre- sumably this was not the playwright's iniuu.hi the final analysis.Citrouille is a funny escapade with sober overtones that ends in a whimper, not the expected bang.Cj?Help your Heart Fund Help your Heart I 9 X ?l * THE CHALET INC.Birchton HALLOWE'EN DANCE S«t., Oct.27 - 9:00 p.m.Free admission Prizes for costumes The Countrymen Parties and reservations - 875-3811 Everyone we/come.I 9 X f SAKHA \ Lufthansa ixvx am .X r l < > p It S’ - 3b* -t* EASTERN TOWNSHIPS Travel Poétique Outb«( Itcwnce# 2339 King Shopping Center.Sherbrooke.Que.563-7343 Long Distance (No Charge) Zenith 53870 Our experience guarantees you worry tree travels.Sea, Land or Air, We are the ones to See r* vovwo mit PI|P1I|^ vÂF.AAJir gvtjuq WlfO ZZ TOWNSHIPS WKEK — FRI.CX'T.26.If7« — S Pringle column Jayne County: It's no gimmick fPi Mick Jagger BUT BACK TO THE ROLLING STONES for a moment and Mick Jagger this time.Apparently old Mick is fuming mad over the publication of a book in Britain which is called bluntly The Man Who Killed Mick Jagger purport ïû iëll ihè atb/j .d.g< plot is intertwined with Jagger’s real life and a fictional account of his eventual murder.\ ou might be interested to know that according to the book Mick gets knifed in the middle of singing Satisfaction at the Oakland coliseum in California.Mick asked his lawyers to try and suppress the publication of the book because he fears it might give some lunatic some inspiration Incredibly enough, it appears that there is very little that Mick or his lawyers can do about it! • • One of the first Japanese acts to appear on an American label (Elektra/Curb) is about to make a big splash down in North America. The act in question is Pink Lady, two young ladies who in Japan have already generated in excess of $72 million worth of record sales.Their first single here will be aimed at the disco crowd and is entitled Kiss In The Dark.An album is due out sometime in July.TOM WAITTS HAD TO DECLINE a personal invitation from Led Zeppelin to introduce them ; t their recent Knebworth Festival appearance in England because of touring and recording commitments.Speaking of Zeps at Knebworth.after all was quiet the critics lambasted the band in their reviews. Can you believe everything you read?Hello, is anybody out there?A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO WE TALKED ABOUT the city fathers of Burbank California banning rock concerts in that town.Well it appears that the sickness has spread to Maryland and specifically in Prince George’s County where the University of Maryland is located. The word is out from that country’s liquor board that “acid rock or rock and roll bands that play at a high decibel level; that play in a frenzied hard-rock manner; that use characterizations by painting their bodies” or that “use offensive names such as ‘Sex Change Band’ and those that “convey into their music and their actions that they approve of the drug culture” are banned from playing in that county.Apparently all the trouble started last May when the on campus pub brought in a number of bands that the board claims “sent people into the streets causing trouble, defecating, urinating and fornicating.” Sounds like Ted Nugent was on the case again.THIS MIGHT BE A SIGN OF THE TIMES.Movie mogul and manager Allan Carr haschanged the title of his forthcoming film featuring the village People from Discoland to Can't Stop the Music after a number of his other headline acts dropped out of the project. The film will introduce Ray Simpson as the new ‘cop’ in the Village People who is replacing Victor Willis who recently left the band.TORONTO (CP) — Her mannerisms and language are not totally ladylike But then, neither is Jayne County — not yet Jayne County lives in a nether world inhabited by a small minority of persons who are not quite male and not yet female Well into pre-surgical' hormonal treatment, she has the voice and build of a w oman but is still anatomically a male It’s by Jayne County’s own choice that she is called a woman And it’s unfortunate, but as long as the group currently known as Wayne County and the Electric Chairs continues to sizzle with its energetic brand of new-wave rock, the spotlight likely will continue to focus more on the lead singer's impending sex-change operation than on any musical merit If it seems unfair on the part of journalists and curious rock followers, at least it’s understandable. If you meet a man with a green head, chances are you won’t notice his $300 suit.Perhans thp analogy is not altogether accurate — Jayne County is not a freak But she says she feels like one I \ TE R VIEW STR AI NED An interview set up by her record company is to he held at a downtown Toronto lounge, but the venue undergoes an 11th-hour change Miss County, it seems, does not like to go out during the day.People stare at her Thus, the journalist reports to a dingy hotel room for what seems on Miss County’s part to be an interview conducted under duress An aide to the singer explains that writers make her uncomfortable: All they want to ask about is The Change “It’s not a gimmick,” Miss County volunteers.“No matter what profession I was involved in I would always be the same I have to do what I have to do, and it so hap-, pens that I love rock ‘n roll.Although I may be transsexual — I always have been — that’s the way< it is and nothing’s going to, change it.” The words are defiant, but various involuntary1 mannerisms such as the< periodic toss of her blonde, wig are evidence of strain BEHAVIOR DEFENSIVE Even the fluidity of her! walk across the room, thet light strut of a woman,, appears somewhat stilted, self-conscious And the1 occasional use of ex! pletives when describing^ her professional and, private life come off as an obvious defence mecha nism Such defence tactics* have become second, nature to Jayne County by force In 1969.she fled her native Georgia for New York following an Easy Rider like incident with a group of rednecks who.unable to accept her unconventional leanings, fired potshots at her while trucking by.Several stints in avant garde theatre followed, as did involvement in a couple of “off the wall” bands notably one called Queen Elizabeth That group was named for a homosexual friend who lost his job modelling women's fashions in a department store when the store discovered that Liz was the wrong sex Working with Queen Elizabeth.Jayne — then Wayne — County again alienated herself from a conservative public Her stage show featured such outlandish antics as shoving her head into a toilet and heaving dog food at the audience She maintains that the stage show was artistic satire “I wanted to assault the audience’s senses to the point where the outrageous stopped being outrageous, so that it would seem as normal as taking a drink of water ’ Evidently the assault w as unsuccessful, and Miss County left the United States to re-establish her career in Britain. It was there that the Electric Chairs were formed, a group aptly named for Miss County wasn’t content to abandon shock rock altogether The leadoff tune on the album Blatantly Offenzive, for example, has a title that not even the album jacket spells out.The song uses four-letter words no less than 30 times Yet the Chairs do have some wheat among the chaff The band is a tight group of seemingly disciplined rockers; some of the material has strength either in its satire ( Eddie and Sheena ; Trying to Get on the Radio) or occasionally, its serious message In the tune sardonically entitled Man Enough to Be a Woman, for instance, we are given a look at Jayne County’s personal tor ment : “It’s hard to be true to the one that’s really you when they point and stare at you 1 am what I am.I don't give a damn ” As to her musicians’ dis cipline, that’s largely Miss County’s doing An appearance the previous night at a local punk dub was enthusiastically received, but she wasn't happy; the backup band, freshly in from New York, hadn't had time for a rehearsal “It just kills me for anyone in the audience to say.‘Oh look, they didn't , come in on time,’ because it looks amateurish ‘‘I don’t want people to say it was a freak show I want them to say it was professional and tight It has to be ” Her complete trans formation to womanhood is still more than a year away but Jayne County plans to keep active while waiting it out A play has been sritten for her, with production to start in Germany after Christmas (“I play a prostitute I’m always getting stuck with those parts — but she has a heart of gold ”) Laplante named music performer-of-year QUEBEC (CP) — Pianist Andre Laplante, 28.has been named performer of the year by the Canadian Music Council. The musician from Rimouski, Que .came second at last year’s Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow’, the first Canadian to be a prize-winner The CMC prize is awarded to musicians w ho distinguish themselves in a special way Previous recipient?include Maureen Forrester and Kenneth Gilbert Laplante is to receive the award at a concert by the Quebec Symphony Orchestra Oct.30, during which the pianist will play Rachmaninov’s Concerto No 2 Boulevard Portland SHERBROOKE Tel 565 0366 [ FOR ALL PETER ^1 ALAN FALK ^ f-A\\ntiC1 ARKIN ___11 SWKfSj Showtime» 120- taHL Z- 3 15-5 10-7 05-9 00 UnhT TELEPHONE 819 826-3376 208 rue MAIN st.RICHMOND QUE C 1 VI r JOYCE CRACK prop ORCHESTRA FRIDAY.SATURDAY A SUNDAY BAR SALON BRASSERIE nr .»» Lapri "Richmond” • Till* SAVAlAS • «Tf« «Ont • 00 3 00 5 00 *00 S*’ f * 9 00 6 Bugs Bunny throws in BUGS BUNNY’S Wednesday.Oct.31 a Halloween scare into Witch Hazel, who then takes him for a ride.HOWLOWEEN SPECIAL an animated special to be rebroadcast .on CBS-TV.10 — TOWNSHIPS WEEK — FBI., OCT.26.1679 This week's TV STATIONS LISTED Ijintintfti for thin week # televiêion propramn a* nupplied by ( orp. While ire make erery effort to ennure their accuracy, nubject tit change without notice, ( heck the Record daily for Hen.CBFT * Montreal (Radio Canada) WCAX - Burlington, VL (CBS) WPTZ- Plattsburgh.N Y (NBC) Montreal (CBC) Sherbrooke (TVA) Poland Spring.Me.(ABC) G CBFT - G WCAX © WPTZ - ! Dane, on “One Life To Live.” Although many experiments in plotlines have been attempted by soap opera writers and producers.there has seldom been the t\pe ot variations in characters that has sprung up over the last tew months.A case in point is the show “One Lite To Live.Blessed with an extremely talented and versatile t.One Life To Live.has gambled bv radie a 11 \ i h a n g i n g a character that he vvas destined tor demise.Soap operas art' extremely moralistic.Good must eventually triumph over evil. The producers of One Lite To Live” were faced with a dilemma. How could they keep Anthony with the serial and yet give “Marco w hat was coming to him?On the' surface, their solution seemed trite.Marco was murdered and his look-alike brother Mario (the complete antithesis of Marco) became a resident of Llanview to try to undo much of the harm that his brother had done to residents of that community. As the viewer observed Mario, the mystery of the solution unfolded.Mario seemed to know too much about things only Marco could know about.Mario s fiance flew in from Colorado and claimed that he was an imposter.Fans across the country began to buzz and speculate about Llanview s newest resident. For weeks Gerald Anthony had to side step the obvious question. Is Marco really dead?Recently in a shattering climax to weeks of high drama.Mario admitted that he was really Marco. In the most tragic case of mistaken identity Mario was murdered in his place. In this one plotline development."One Life To Live” producers have permitted their viewers to have their cake and eat it too.Anthony's Marco claims he saw this as his opportunity to start his life over.Viewers, therefore, will be treated to a Marco with compassion and love of mankind. His lifespan on the serial will undoubtedly be indefinite.Vet.the tantalizing evil that Marco is capable ot will continue to tire the imagination of his loyalist fans.It is a tribute to Gerald Anthony’s extraordinary talents as an actor that he has been able to gain viewer acceptance as Mario after capturing the imagination of TV audiences as Marco. The writing staff is to be commended, as well, for weaving an air of mystery in such a
