RE-ARRESTED BY OFFICER COWLING AT McLEOD'S CROSSING YESTERDAY.Nap.Laeourse, who escaped from Sherbrooke jail on the 23rd of June, 1911, was re-arrested yesterday at McLeod's Crossing on the C.P.R., and brought to Sherbrooke in the jvening.The arrest was effected by Officer Cowling.Laeourse, when he escaped from jail, was serving a sentence for theft committed at Lake Megantic, to wh ck place he belongs.Laeourse was at work in the private office belonging to Mr.Laforce, jailer, and he got away by jumping through the window.Mr.Laforce immediately notified the officers throughout the Townships the Council sold it.One of Prisoners tflio Escaped From Sweetsborg Jail Again In Lock up.SAYS THAT HE LEFT QUARTERS THROUGH A DOOR THAT WAS UNLOCKED.Sweetsburg, Aug.24.(Special) Ed Oomeau, who escaped from the jail here on Wednesday with another prisoner named Sargent, was again lodged in his old quarters in the jail last, evening by Higti Constable Boisvert.When the two men escaped, the High Constable sent word to all the officers along the boundary line to be on the lookout for ttiem, as it was supposed they would make for the United States.Yesterday forenoon Deputy Sheriffs Phanens and Reardon, of Hichford, Vt., received information that a man answering Comeau\u2019s description had been seen entering the house of one Tctreault.They then surrounded the house, and Comeau, finding that the officers were after him, jumped through one of the windows and made a break to get away.Tire officers were armed and threatened to shoot if he did nut halt.On seeing the drearms Comeau sulimitted, and was ;uken to police headquarters.High Constable Boisvert was noti fled and went to Hichford.Comeau at first refused to return, saying that he would light extradition.Later he decided to return with the High Con stable, and Sweetsburg was reached about midnight.Comeau will come u,' before Judge Mulvena to-day, and the charge of breaking jail will be added to the rther two which had
