Saint Jean nous dit dans son prologue: «Et le Verbe était avec Dieu, et le Verbe était Dieu.Et le Verbe était la Lumière véritable qui éclaire tout homme Et le Verbe s’est fait chair et il a demeuré parmi nous.» (Jn 1,1.9.14) Ce Dieu de toute éternité vient sceller, par le don de Son Fils, une Alliance avec nous, et Jésus nous en révèle le motif: «pour que l'amour dont Tu m'as aimé soit en eux et moi en eux» (Jn 17,26).À nous d’accueillir.c’est le défi de la foi qui exige «l’humble oui de notre liberté».Ce n’est pets facile, mais comme c’est dynamisant, vivifiant! The Covenant of the Lord with all mankind : “Lord, lover of life!” (Wisdom 11,26) Passing through the ages of men, God’s hour finally struck.Then the Light came among us.What a blessing that was! St.John explains it this way in his prologue: “In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God.The Word was the true light that enlightens all men.The Word was made of flesh he lived among us.” (Jn 1,1.9.14) This eternal God came to seal the Covenant with us by the gift of His only Son.Jesus reveals the motive when he says “.so that the love with which you love me, may be in them, so that I may be in them.” (Jn 17,26) It’s up to us to accept this challenge of faith.In all freedom, it leads us to utter a humble “yes”.It is not easy at all, but it is truly dynamic, truly life-giving!
