Titre :
The Quebec chronicle
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

Dec.5.\u2014 William Stead says that England is waging a second war in South Africa.According to the statements of her officials, the first war, waged against Krugerism aod to establish Jritish having as its means 1he cold-Elood- ed infliction of ruthless cruelle = upon women and chibdien. It is a war wag- «1 mostly with the torch, and arson is employed as the chief means of pa- ification.IF the British, alter the flight of Kruger, had offered to gua rantee tie Boers who laid down their arms the possession of their private property and the right uf colonial seif- sovernment such as is cnjoved in the Cape.there would have leen no sf cond war but the British Minister: nd the majority of the British people, irritated by the prolonged and heroic resistance of the Moers
