operations. The Heritage Department — a super-ministry of culture created in June by the former Conservative government — makes sense, Dupuy said Wednesday in an interview.‘‘As I see it, the fundamentals are right.” Under the Heritage umbrella, the Tories combined responsibility for arts and culture, broadcasting, official languages, state ceremonies, parks and historic changes.Citizenship was moved to a Heritage Canada minister new department that also handles immigration.and Montreal MP Sheila Fines- tone became secretary of state responsible for multiculturalism been slightly uneasy neighbors in Fort Qu’Appelle, a predominantly non-native community 70 kilometres east of Regina. The town of 1,900 is all but surrounded by a dozen of Saskatchewan’s largest Indian reserves, including Starblanket’s Sioux band (named the Starblanket band, after a distant ancestor of the former chief).RACIAL OVERTONES But the band’s plans for two blocks of land it bought from Ottawa in 1989 have touched off a dispute with increasingly nasty racial overtones.Anonymous callers have spouted obscenities, racial slurs and insults into Starblanket’s answering machine since he began heading his band’s efforts to turn the small downtown plot into reserve land. The short, barrel-chested farmer and businessman says he’s determined to press the only native group finding roadblocks thrown up in front of land claims in small towns. The municipal council in the small rural township of Onondaga, near Brantford, Ont., recently passed a motion asking Ottawa for compensation for a recent expansion of a local Iroquois reserve. The council also called for a halt to further additions to the Six Nations reserve until ‘‘the concerns of all Canadians are addressed.” The Association of Municipalities of Ontario says at least two more Ontario bands are considering expanding.Because reserve land isn’t taxable, such expansions worry local governments that already face a dwindling tax base.“This is going to be an issue for many municipalities in the future,” says association spokeswoman Evelyn Ruppert. And a growing number of Saskatchewan bands are looking to expand the boundaries of overcrowded reserves under a 1992 agreement with Ottawa and the province. The agreement allows Saskatchewan bands to expand their reserves as compensation for lands they were cheated out of when they signed treaties with Ottawa around the turn of the century. When Indian bands around Prince Albert, Sask., bought property under a similar arrangement with Ottawa in the 1970s, the move created a furore.Under the current agreement, land acquisitions are expected to soar — and that will likely mean more conflicts between Indians and non-natives, says one provincial official.‘“People will raise all sorts of concerns — taxation problems, housing values,” says the Indian and Metis Affairs official, who asked not to be named.‘“But what it all comes down to is not wanting Indians in their town. It’s institutionalized racism.” Under the 1992 agreement, Saskatchewan bands are entitled to buy up to 680,000 hectares of land — an area larger than Prince Edward Island — to add to their reserves. That would almost double the area covered by reserves in the province. At least two bands have expressed interest in land in downtown Saskatoon.Starblanket says they should prepare for the same problems he is facing.‘‘Most bands that are buying land are going to run into this kind of thing,” he says.‘‘And there’s going to be more of it.” The effect of adding property to Native move hits racist roadblock An Indian band’s plans for two blocks of land in Fort Qu’Appelle, Sask., have touched off a dispute with increasingly nasty racial reserve land is to remove it from local jurisdiction. In lengthy negotiations with Fort Qu’Appelle’s town council, however, the Star- blanket band agreed to pay property taxes and observe bylaws, so the band’s goal may have more symbolic value than anything else. The negotiations came to a halt earlier this month when more than 300 town residents signed a petition calling for a referendum on any agreement with the band.MAYOR OPPOSED Mayor Fran Hahn did not return phone calls, but she told the town’s weekly newspaper the petition was ‘‘counter-productive, and I don’t see what purpose it'll serve.” Despite the mayor’s opposition, the council approved a vote next month on whether to hold a referendum. The Indian band gave up on negotiations and has asked the federal Department of Indian and Northern Affairs to unilaterally declare the land a reserve.““We’ve got companies ready to move into that building .and they're talking about fooling around with us for another year or more,’ Starblanket snorts (CP) — Canada got an F on Wednesday for its efforts to end child poverty.Another 250,000 kids fell below the poverty line from 1989 to 1991, a 30 per cent jump, said an organization that monitors the federal government’s performance in this area. That means that as of 1992, 1.2 million children — nearly one in five kids under the age of 18 — was poor, Campaign 2000 said in its annual assessment of how Canada is doing in living up to a 1989 all-party parliamentary resolution to abolish child poverty by the year 2000.“Let’s go beyond statistics here and recognize: There are kids that are actually going hungry,” said Lynne Toupin, executive director of the National Anti-Poverty Organization, one of 45 groups that make up Campaign 2000.“There are kids that are living in sub-standard housing. And there are a lot of frustrated parents out there who cannot respond to the needs of their children.” “Not only are we losing the fight against child poverty, it appears that we're no longer even engaging in the battle,” said Rosemarie Popham, Campaign 2000’s national coordinator. The report suggested child poverty in Canada is worse than in most industrial countries. And it shows Canadian spending on income-support programs like welfare is below that of the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Germany and Britain.Campaign 2000 demanded that the new Liberal government make fighting child poverty a priority. And it called on the government to sit down with groups involved in the fight to map out a plan of attack. With so much focus on controlling the federal deficit," social policy advocates are clearly worried that things like the battle against child poverty will be sidelined. When the new government considers how to improve the country’s finances, it shouldn't automatically target social programs, said Patrick Johnston, executive director of the Canadian Council on Social Development.Instead, Johnston said, the government should examine tax breaks like RRSPs and child-care deductions that let Canadians shelter money from the tax man. Those programs cost the federal treasury $20 billion a year, and some taxpayers don’t need the breaks, he said.“The irony is a lot of those programs benefit upper- income Canadians most of all.So in fact, what we’re all doing as taxpayers is we are subsidizing the RRSP of Conrad Black.” The report based its figures on Statistics Canada’s low- income cutoffs, which mark the income levels below which families are spending a disproportionate amount of their income on food, shelter and clothing. The cutoffs vary depending on family size and community size. Some contend the low- income cutoffs aren’t a good measure of poverty, because they don’t assess whether people who live below them can meet their basic needs.Instead the cutoffs assess how those people fared in comparison to those who are better off.Popham sum that is marked on the price tag.In order to figure out how much it really cost you, you would have to take this price and divide it by the number of times you wear the article in question.and then accord generous bonus points for the pleasure, self-confidence and elegance it may have given you.All of which is complicated — if not impossible — calculation, but one which your husband of the corporate ladder once used their wives to show off their good taste and enhance their own masculine sense of value.Bargains, except in rare cases, could not be considered by those women.However.even this scene was changing in the 1970s when Rosabeth Moss Kanter wrote MEN and WOMEN of the CORPORATION.PERFORMANCE “The public relations department might even stage- manage the the psychological profession is to break down the stigma that only crazy people look for shrinks.” says Michael King, head of the psychology department at Calgary General Hospital.More than 60 per cent of Canadians who seek the help of medical doctors for physical ailments are suffering from illnesses related to stress and other mental problems, says King.As a result, an increasing number of patients are undergoing counselling by doctors, or are being referred to psychologists and other mental-health specialists.NEEDS HELP ‘Seeing a psychotherapist is really just a matter of a patient needing someone to help them find the coping tools to go on,” says King. There are no set standards for becoming a therapist or counsellor in Canada or the United States. That means just cream of the therapy crop because they must undergo years of university and interning.Psychiatrists are medical doctors and are covered under provincial medicare plans.Psychologists are covered under lists for Canada’s 4,000 psychiatrists and 12,000 psychologists, many people in need are forced to seek out therapists who may take quickie courses on dealing with serious problems, say psychologists and psychiatrists. There are provincial regulatory bodies that hear patient complaints about psychologists and psychiatrists. In Nova Scotia, for instance, there’s the Board of very irritating.DEAR READER: Pulsating sensations in the ear are often caused by arteriosclerotic blockages in the arteries in the neck and back of the skull.Although no treatment may be necessary, you should be examined by an otolaryngologist.Such a specialist may urge you to have a carotid Doppler ultrasound. If the test shows narrowing in one of the carotid arteries, which supply blood to the brain, you may have to consider having the blockage removed to avoid the possibility of stroke. If, however, your carotid arteries are free of obstruction, no therapy is indicated (because surgery inside the skull near the nerves of hearing is too risky) and you may have to learn to live with the symptom.DEAR DR.GOTT: Can a viral infection cause sleeplessness and a change of body odor?If so, what viruses could cause this unusual situation?DEAR READER: Any viral infection can cause insomnia and a change in body odor because of fever, which leads to achiness, sweating and malaise.Fortunately, most viral infections last only a few days, so the symptoms are usually short-lived.Although viral infections are not affected by antibiotics, the consequences (such as fever and so forth) are easily treated with rest, fluids and aspirin (or Tylenol).DEAR DR.GOTT: Where can I order medicine without having to pay extremely high prices?I'm taking Cardura for hypertension and for a prostate condition. My cost is $80 per 100 capsules and is really cost-prohib- itive.DEAR READER: Many chain drugstores offer discount prices. So does the pharmacy operated by the American Association call (212) 573-3954.DEAR DR.GOTT: My 40-year-old son walks and talks in his sleep.I feel this affliction is ruining his life and wonder what type of specialist you might refer him to.DEAR READER: The cause of somnambulism (sleepwalking) is unknown. The condition is not permanent and usually disappears after adolescence.During episodes, sieepwalk- ers should be protected against injury, such as falling down stairs.Although there is no specific therapy, your son should be under the care of a neurologist. To give you more information, I am sending you a free copy of my Health Report “Sleep-Wake Disorders.” Other readers who would like a copy should send $1.25 plus a long, self- addressed, stamped envelope to P.O.Box 2433, New York, NY 10163.Be sure to mention the of marriage.Your comments?DEAR READER: Nightmares are merely unpleasant or frightening thoughts that we have while asleep.Although they are troublesome, they don’t generally affect health or reflect underlying emotional problems.Still, your wife might be helped by counseling. Some nightmares may be caused by unresolved psychological conflicts and fears.During the counseling process, your wife may be able to identify such factors and deal with them more successfully. In many cases, recurring nightmares may be the mind's way of calling for assistance in coping with unpleasant issues that are buried deep in the unconscious. In your wife's case, I believe that counseling is the place to start.Psychologists, psychiatrists or social workers are appropriate resources.DEAR DR.GOTT: I'm interested in information on Alzheimer’s disease.I'm not completely sure just what symptoms to look for, yet I strongly suspect this condition in a family member.DEAR READER: Alzheimer’s disease, a common and devastating neurological disorder, causes progressive dementia: depression, anxiety, disintegration of personality, loss of judgment and the ability to reason, impaired intellect and insight, speech disturbances, and spatial disorientation, often progressing to complete dependence. The cause is unknown and there is no cure, although some patients appear to improve when given a new drug (Cognex) that was just approved for this purpose.Alzheimer’s disease is diagnosed by how the patient looks and behaves, in conjunction with an MRI scan that shows shriveling of the brain. In its early stages, Alzheimer’s disease may be indistinguishable from dementia caused by other factors, such as mini- strokes. Therefore, in my opinion, such patients should be examined by neurologists, although general doctors are trained to provide primary care.Unfortunately, regardless of treatment, Alzheimer’s disease is incurable and progressive.DEAR DR.GOTT: A few months ago I had emergency surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm.Since then, I've noticed a slight tingling in my hands. My doctor doesn’t know what causes this problem.Do you?DEAR READER: Not really. But I'll take a stab at it.Most aortic aneurysms (swelling of the artery) occur below the area of circulation to the arms and hands.Sawyerville Thus, your symptoms are probably not related to the surgery. However, aneurysms often coexist with arteriosclerotic narrowing in arteries: Such partial blockage could deprive your upper extremities of adequate blood supply, leading to tingling.Ask your doctor about special tests — such as a Doppler ultrasound study or an angiogram (special X-ray of your circulation) — that could diagnose circulatory impairment.Let me know the outcome.DEAR DR.GOTT: l’ve used saccharin tablets for years in my coffee and tea. It's been hard to find recently, because of some concerns about its safety.Would you advise that I switch to something like Sweet’N Low?DEAR READER: Saccharin is safe for human consumption, despite the fact that rats developed bladder cancer when fed astronomical quantities. This has led some scientists to wisecrack that rats shouldn't drink a lot of diet soda. Most authorities agree that saccharin is safe for humans, when consumed in ordinary and reasonable quantities.I don’t know why you've had trouble finding saccharin tablets, but take heart because Sweet’N Low contains saccharin. You're merely substituting a granulated form of the compound for the pill form.DEAR DR.GOTT: I've heard that can tabs can be saved and turned in for dialysis treatments, but I don’t know the details.Since a friend is undergoing dialysis, I'd like to do my share but don’t know where to begin.Do you?DEAR READER: I do not believe that this is a universal policy.Ask your local hospital if such a program is in place in your community.DEAR DR.GOTT: I'm a 46-year-old female, about 90 pounds overweight, with mild diabetes, for which I take Micronase.I've already lost 40 pounds with no improvement in my symptoms.I am following a healthy diet and exercise six days a week.My problem is that I sweat profusely on the left side of my body, primarily from the top of my head to my waist.Any slight exertion, even standing up, can bring this on.I've had blood work performed, an MRI done, have seen five internists and a neurologist. What might be causing my symptoms?DEAR READER: Your puzzling tendency to perspire more on one side of your body than the other may reflect what is called an autonomic imbalance: certain nerves are stimulated, while others are not.Although diabetics often suffer from nerve malfunction (dug to meta: bolic abnormalities stemgpng from acidosis), your sypptom is very unusual.Perhaps this is why several doctors have failed to diagnose your affliction. At this point, it seems to me, your doctors need to define your condition more precisely. For instance, are just the autonomic nerves of sweating involved or do you also have difficulty with the nerves that contrel circulation?Does part of your body flush or turn red during your sweating episodes? Are there also problems with the perception of touch?Do you experience weakness, t00?These and other questions must be answered. In my opinion, the neurologist is your best resource.Return to him (or her) for further clarification and advice. To give you more information, I am sending you a free copy of my Health Report “Diabetes Mellitus.” Other readers who would like a copy should send $1.25 plus a haven’t been able to do yet, but we're still working on it.” Crevier earned a slight measure of revenge when his cross- country team beat out Breck’s for the male team of the year.Breck said nobody at Bishop’s will be entirely happy until the Gaiters one day bring home the Vanier Cup.The personal awards don’t make up for having failed to do so thus far, Breck said: They don’t have to.Lofty expectations only make it seem that way after so much winning during the regular season.MONSTER “I guess I feel a little like Dr.Frankenstein, having created the are legends. This guy’s a living legend.” Murphy received a $2.500 bursary for winning the award. He beat out Concordia University basketball player Emerson Thomas and volleyball player Simon Berleur from the University of Montreal.Murphy said he was especially appreciative of the foundation’s work at raising money to help student-athletes.He said similar programs across the country would allow more Canadians to stay at home for school instead of going to the United States, where scholarships are readily available for top athletes.GREAT FOUNDATION “Sometimes we just don’t have the finances to stay in Canada.A foundation like this, it’s great.I have alot of respect for what they do here. It's a great approach to keep kids in Canada.” Murphy said he never considered leaving.“I'm a true Canadian, a Don Cherry at heart.” Flyers have it their way right away PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Kevin Dineen scored three goals and the Philadelphia Flyers erupted for six goals in the second period to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 9-2 Wednesday night. The Flyers won for only the second time in their last seven decisions (2-4-1) and for the first scored for the Flyers.Kirk Muller and Mike Keane replied for the Canadiens.Racicot used for tar Muller opened the scoring at 4:41 of the first period on a power play when he redirected a pass from Vincent Dam- phousse in front of goaltender Tommy Soderstrom, who went on to gain his first win of the season (1-3-1).The Flyers managed four shots in the opening period, but scored twice.Dineen registered his first goal in nine games and tied the score 1-1 at 16:03.He delivered a wrist shot from the right circle that eluded goalie Andre Racicot, making his third appearance of the season. With to motivate his players resigned Wednesday.“Obviously, the shock of the idea we were going to die overshadowed any point he was trying to make,” said Li- bertyville high school senior Mike Duffy, a lineman who witnessed the stunt.“Most of us were scared out of our minds,” said Duffy.“I ran for my life.” The incident occurred in the high school cafeteria Saturday, hours before the Liberty- ville Wildcats were to play Loyola Academy in a state semifinal playoff game.During a pep talk to players, coach Dale Christensen interceded in a fake fight he had orchestrated between two youths.Shots rang out and Christensen fell to the ground as fake blood spread across his shirt.Although Christensen bounced up several seconds later and announced the shooting was a hoax, panicked stu- dents had already scrambled for cover or fled the cafeteria. At least two calls were placed to police emergency num- Fake shooting gets coach in real mess bers and three completed the burst with his sixth at 4:24 on a wrist shot from the right circle.Montreal closed within 5-2 on Keane's sixth goal, on a power- play at 15:31.Later in the period, Philadelphia added a pair of goals in a 33-second span.Renberg posted his 12th at 16:31 on a 2-on-1 with Butsayev.Eklund notched his first moments later.Butsayev collected his eighth with 30 seconds remaining in the point shot by Dimitri Yushke- vich on a power play.Rod Brind’Amour’s assist on the Flyers’ first goal stretched his point-scoring streak to 13 games, the longest in the NHL this 5 Sabres 3 Rangers 7 Senators 1 Lightning 4 Whalers 1 Quebec Olympic bid dealt major blow QUEBEC (CP) — Quebec City’s bid to stage the 2002 Winter Olympics has been dealt a ma- Jor setback with a judgment by the Federation Internationale de Ski that the hill slated for the men’s downhill event is not steep enough. The decision by the FIS, the organization which oversees world-class skiing, is seen as a boost for Salt Lake City, Utah, the leading candidate in the contest to host the Games. The International Olympic Committee will make a final decision in June 1995.Quebec 2002, the corporation seeking to land the Games for the provincial capital, submitted five different scenarios to develop the Petite-Riviere- Saint-Francois mountain, 60 kilometres northeast of Quebec City, to meet FIS standards for the men’s downhill. But Bernard Russi, in a report for the FIS, said ‘“the entire mountain has a relatively weak slope.” TOO FLAT Russi added: “Even if major work was conducted to change the profile of the mountain, it would still include a flat sector of 500 metres, which depreciates the sports value of a downhill and makes the results a sham.” The FIS, whose support is viewed as essential in lobbying efforts to win a bid, accepted the proposed course for the men’s and women’s super giant slalom and the women’s downhill at Petite-Riviere- Saint-Francois.Walter Sieber, a vice- president with Quebec 2002, said the organization is determined to find a solution to the downhill problem raised by the FIS.Sieber said Quebec 2002 has hired a consortium, which includes the SNC-Lavalin engineering firm, to explore possibilities the Olympic group may have overlooked.‘“The consortium will see whether it is possible to change the profile of the mountain,” explained Sieber.‘“ At the same time, it will explore the possibility of a new site that meets the requirements of the FIS.” DRAWBACKS Sieber said the two main drawbacks for Petite-Riviere- Saint-Francois are that its average slope is 25 per cent — about five per cent less than world-class norms — and half of the downhill run has a degree of difficulty between 0 and 20 per cent. The consortium, which is to complete its study by mid- February, faces a daunting task.Making changes to the mountain to conform to FIS standards would be costly with no guarantee that it would result in Quebec winning its Olympic bid.Financing, in the current economic context, would be difficult.Rene Paquet.the president of Quebec 2002, has stated that “Quebec’s bid will be frugal, no extravaganza.” BISHOP'S GAITERS HALFTIME: ®HOME OPENER@ Sunday, November 28 Moving the downhill event to an alternate site also does not seem viable. There is no ski hill in the province which would meet the FIS standards for slope steepness and I0C officials aren’t likely to be impressed by along-distance transferring of such a major Olympic event.m | —_— Sailors S CONCORDIA STINGERS Women 1:00 p.m.Men 3:00 p.m.Tickets: Adults $3.00 Students $2.00 Tuition Shot -16—The RECORD—Thursday, November 25, 1993 How to be a fruit fly exterminator By Anne B.Adams and Nancy Nash-Cummings .DEAR ANNE AND NAN: This year, for some reason, more than ever we have fruit flies everywhere, but especially in our kitchen.I've tried removing all the things that might be attracting them, but to no avail. What can I do to get rid of them? Please rush an answer as these annoying little pests have invaded our home.— B.J.GUYETTE, Rutland, Vt._ DEAR B.J.: Each female fruit fly lays about 500 eggs and she lays them all over the place: in ripening or gone- by fruit, on surfaces, in mops, etc.The key to getting rid of them is finding their food source and breeding places.Finding these places can be difficult, so we tried another tack and turned to one of our best resources, “Common-Sense Pest Control” by Olkowski, Daar and Olkowski (Taunton Press, 1992).We read about the effectiveness of citrus oils for pest control.“In a test using scarified (grated) limes, all the fruit flies were immobilized in 15 minutes, and all were dead in two hours,” the book says. This summer we heard about a product called Air Therapy, which contains essential oils from real citrus and herbs, nothing else.It eliminates odors, smoke, pollen and acts as an organic, non-aerosol insecticide. We use it and think it's a great product. We buy it at our nearby co-op, but if you can’t find it locally, you can order it from Fresh Air Products HCR 68, Box 124, Woodstock, VT 05091 or call 1-800-292-6339.DEAR ANNE AND NAN: Years ago I heard Pat Boone sing the words to “Taps.” I don’t remember what year it was, but I cannot find a copy of the words or perhaps a record he may have made.—Margaret Lemaster, Dunnellon, Fla.DEAR MARGARET: Nan dusted off her memory of singing “Taps” each evening at Camp Lake Hubert and checked with a local music teacher to make sure her memory was accurate. The lyrics to “Taps” are: Day is done Gone the sun From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky All is well, safely rest God is nigh.DEAR ANNE AND NAN: Do you know where I can purchase white painter’s overalls by mail order?— Janet Cropper, Reddick, Fla.DEAR JANET: We found just what you're looking for at WearGuard, a company that specializes in work clothes but also has a good selection of boots, jackets, long underwear, etc.The painter's overalls are 100 percent cotton, have seven reinforced pockets and cost $34.99.Give them a call at 1- 800-388-3300 to order and/or receive a catalog.DEAR ANNE AND NAN: I hope you can help me.I broke the lid of my pressure cooker.I wrote to the address about four weeks ago.The address on my book is National Presto Industries, Eau Claire, WI.I hope you know where I can write to get a handle.—SUE BOWSER, Eckhart Mines, Md.DEAR SUE: You wrote to the right place but didn’t have quite enough of the address.Presto has a parts sheet available or you may call the company and they will take a telephone order.Handles are also available at True Value and Ace Hardware stores. The full address for the company is: National Presto Industries, 3925 North Hastings Way, Eau Claire, WI 54703 and the phone number for parts and repairs is 715-839-2209.STUMPED: Does someone have Mamie Eisenhower’s pumpkin pie recipe?J.H.of Ocala, Fla, is looking for it.Another reader from Ocala D width.Does anyone have a source for these? Also, does anyone have a recipe for cookies made from chocolate cake mix?Susan Casteel of Perry, Okla., is looking for this.DEAR ANNE AND NAN: For years I've been feeding birds during the cold winter months with sunflower and thistle seeds in the feeder and suet in the “suet cage.” But lately I've found just plain suet harder and harder to find, and when I do it’s expensive. Is there an alternative?— SARA G., Iron Mountain, Mich.DEAR SARA: This summer, on our local call-in radio program, we were given a wonderful “suet alternative” recipe that not only gives birds an added nutritional boost but also recycles what we think of as kitchen waste. In an oven set at its lowest heat (if you have a pilot light, don’t bother to turn the oven on at all) dry eggshells and leftover bread crusts or stale bread overnight.Place in a food processor and chop to a semi-fine stage.Put in a bowl and mix with any leftover grease you may have.Take an empty clean 6-ounce can (tuna fish, cat food, etc.) and pierce a hole in its side.Knot a piece of string and run it through the hole.Spoon mixture into the can and either hang outside or freeze for future use.Anne, who feeds her birds all year round, has already tried this, and the bird response has been so terrific that she has had to ask her friends to save eggshells and grease for her.DEAR ANNE AND NAN: Could you tell me where I could find some information on how to start a flower business: a marketing plan and financial aid for set-up?—MARGE BUTA- LA, Gilbert, Minn.DEAR MARGE: To find an answer to your question, we called the Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s Marketing Division and got a flood of information. Not only in Minnesota but in every other state, local and state government agencies are there to help and assist you in any way they can.The more rural or less densely populated the state, the more personal help you'll probably receive. But, regardless of the location, if you know what you want and insist on an answer, you'll eventually get it.For starting up your flower business, the very helpful gentleman we spoke with at the Marketing Division suggested that you write to Dr.Bert Swanson, Department of Horticulture, University of Minnesota, St.Paul, MN 55108.Dr.Swanson runs a nursery extension program that assists producers with growing and business management.DEAR ANNE AND NAN: My problem is that I have a friend who is very allergic to mustard.I want to know if Hellmann’s Light Mayonnaise and
