chase unday night in Magog that at times exceeded 100 km | h in an urban area with a 50 km / zone.At around 9:30 p.m.the Sûreté du Québec requested assistance as highway patrol officers were chasing two vehicles on Highway 10.At exit 118, the vehicles separated and the SQ chased the northbound vehicle and Magog police took over to catch the second on Merry Street heading south.The latter vehicle was located a few minutes later on Principale West in Magog and the driver continued his race in sight of the police officers.The fugitive continued along Rue Principale, rue des Pins and Saint-Patrice heading east and sped along at more than 100 km / h.The suspect managed to elude the police on Saint-Pierre St.and at around 1:30 a.m.located the vehicle in the back yard of a residence near where they had lost sight of it, about 2 km from where the chase began.The driver had fled the scene.An investigation is underway to identify the driver who may face criminal charges of fleeing the City of Sherbrooke\u2019s Toponymy Committee neighborhood park was established in the Borough of Lennoxville in the wetland area around the artificial pond on Watson Street.The new park, which was the subject of many preservation efforts by local residents between 2010 and 2012, was recently named in honour of 20th century, Eastern Townships poet Ralph Gustafson.Ralph Barker Gustafson was born in Lime Ridge in 1909.He was the son of Gertrude Ella Barker and of Carl Gustafson.Around 1905, the family left Lime Ridge when his father bought the Geo.H.Presby photography studio on Wellington It\u2019s going to great, but you lose.Letters DEAR EDITOR; Sherbrooke, January 17th.Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the fallout from my simple query posed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the Town Hall Meeting held in The shock has subsided but not the disappointment.I extend sincere thanks to the many kind people who have shown me support through emails, telephone calls and in person throughout the past week.The statement I made was: \u201cSince the inception of the national health plan some 50 years ago, funding for psychiatry/mental health services have been grossly underfunded compared to the other areas of health care.Your attempt to link mental health and home care to the supplementary funding offered to the Provinces is commendable.Of particular concern in this region is the lack of mental health services to the minority population.Most of the public services are available in French only.would appreciate your comments on this subject.\u201d In thinking about this subject, I tried to find a way for him to zero in on mental health.It is a subject he understands well from personal life experience.The question was asked in English on purpose - to highlight the additional difficulty for anyone who is not French-speaking.Maybe the query was too subtle.When the prime minister justified answering in French only and then gave the topic light lip service, truly, I felt deeply disrespected.I did not think immediately of this as a language issue; I simply thought he was incredibly rude and I was deeply disappointed that he missed the whole point regarding mental health services.By the time he treated five other questions posed in English the same way, I felt the collective English population had been treated as second class citizens.I expected the topic to be addressed in English for perhaps one minute, and then in French.I expected the Prime Minister to acknowledge the prevalence of mental illness (at least one in five persons), how he wants to see stigma eliminated, how it affects more than the person with the diagnosis, the importance of seeking help - or any number of other thoughtful and sincere responses.The most important thing I learned from this experience is that the best things can come from the totally unexpected - as shown in the outcry this past week.And, I will be more cautious with subtlety and expectations in the future! Thank you, one and all, for telling the Prime Minister what a disservice it was for him to cast his spotlight on the old language issue.And thank you for confirming the importance of health services their division rival from the Abitibi.Sherbrooke had a standout performance from their captain and his line-mates as the Phoenix fought valiantly against the league\u2019s top ranked team.Hugo Roy scored two goals and tallied two assists for four points, a single game career high, against the Huskies.Julien Pelletier scored a goal and had two assists.The final member of the trio, Czech forward
