meeting of our Provincial Parliameut stands prorogued to the Twenty-first day of November instant; nevertheless, for certain causes and considerations, we have thought fit further to Prorogue the same, to the Twenty-third day of January next, so that you, nor any of you, on the Twenty-first day of November instant, at our City of Quebec, to appear, are to be held or constrained, for we do will, that you, and each of you, be as to us in this matter entirely exonerated; Commanding, and by the tenor of these Presents, firmly enjoining you, and every of you, and all others in this behalt aforesaid.Artist, to me directed ; 1 have scized and taken in execution, as belonging to the said Pierre Deguise, to wit: *¢ 1.\u2014A lot of ground or emplacement, situate at Quebec, in the suburb of St.Roe, Fleury street, containing thirty feet, or thereabont, in front.hy eighty feet, or thercabout in depth, bounded in front by the said Fleury street, in the rear, on the north, by Jaques Duchesnau, the representative of Joseph Le- françois, on the north-east side hy Charles Paquet, and on the other side to the south-west, by Joseph Blanchet, with a wooden house thereon erected, circnmstances and de- pendances.2.\u2014A certain lot or parcel of land, situate in the parish 5t.Thomas, being a part and portion of a lot of land of about one arpent.more or less, in superficie, bounded in its totality, in front towards the south, by the public road which leads to the mill, on the south-west side by the King's Highway, of the said parish, in the rear and on the north-castern side by Louis Fournier, with a house, barn and stable, cireumstunces and dependances ; with the exception of a lot of ground and the buildings thereon erected, being a part and portion of the said piece of land, and containing forty-five feet in length, along the said miil road, by sixty feet in breadth, at the depth of seventy-five feet, and being the north-easterly corner of the said in depth, boanded in front to the north west by the Scigniory Tilly, on one side to the north east by the Seigniory of Lauzon on the other side to the south west by the Fief des Plaines, and in the rear to the south east by the seigniory of St.Giles, with all and every the domains and ungranted lands, tenements and premises making part and parcel of the said ficf and seigniory of Gaspé, whercof the city ot Quebec inthe county of Quebce in the district of Quebec, containing sixty feetin front by the depththere may be to low water mark, being about three hundred and twelve fvet, bounded in Session, to the end of i having some amendmeuts made to the Act which concerns the said Common.T.A Y.Rivière du Loup, 23d November, 1826.u ! ! see D strict of?At a GED Quebec.$ the Peace.I' is ordered that the sev Keeping of the WINTER ROA of Quebec, which were in foree durith established and continued in force durin and published in the usual manner, Certified, GureNn & l\u2019erraUEE, Clerks of tle The Regulations mentioned in the foregoing order av lows: \u2014 peæth 1626.Mons relating to the i > City aud Banlieue Vinter, be re- sentQY inter, ce, v.Tuesday, 12th Nov.17 1s ORDERED, \u2014 That the Regulations for the Winter Roads, of the 3rd Dec.1814, and 21st January 1815, be continued in force, and executed by the Survevor of Highwavs during the present Winter, with the exception that the double Roads in the Banlieue be formed by tracing the width of the Roads iu the centre between two rows of Balises, the whole width of such double Roads to be not less than ten feet, and the rows of the Balises not more than fifteen feet asunder and thirty feet distant from each other along the road.IT 18 ORDERED, \u2014 That from the time of the falling of the snow at the commencement of the ensuing Winter, and from thence until the total disappearing of the Snow in the ensuing Spring, every person driving a Horse or Horses, attached to a Winter Carriage of any description, or riding or conducting a Horse or Horses, shall cause to be worn by every Horse so by him driven, rode or conducted, two Bells or Grelots, at least, in good order, aud so attached ro the harnessing of such Horse, that the sound thereof may be distinctly heard by all persons passing or rcpassing, so as to give them timely notice of the approach of such Horse, and thereby to enable them to avoid being run over, or otherwise injured by such Horse or the Carriage to which he may be attached under a penalty of five Shillings and costs, for the first Offence, and ten Shillings aud costs, fur every subsequent offence, and that the Surveyor of Highways do publish this order by Affiches in all aud every Publie Place through the City, and also in the Quebie Gazette, the three next ensuing Thursdays, aud twice by the Town Crier on the next two ensuing Saturdays.The above mentioned Regulation of the 3rd Dec.1814, is as follows 1\u2014 orpeERED,\u2014That the double Roads leading to and from the City of Quebee, as required by the 36th Geol HL Chap, 9th, Sec.G9th, shall begin on the Road of the Grande Allée, atthe termination of the Glacis of the Fortifications, on the Ste.Foy Road at Madame Dubois\u2019, and on the Lorette Road, from the House of one Drolette, a Tanner, in St.Valier Street; and shall be traced and kept up dnring the ensuing Winter throughout all the portions of the said Ilighways, so fur us compasses within the limits ofthe Banlieae of the said Gity.The above mentioned Regulations ofthe 21stJan, 1815, are as follows :\u2014 Ist\u2014 That the Snow in the Streets be levelled immediately after every fall of Snow, and kept level upon the whole widthof cach Street from House to Honse, 2dly.\u2014That the level of the Snow, in any Street within the walls, De not suffered to be more than one foot above the gené- ral level ot the thresholds of the doors of the Houses in such street : and that the surplus quantity of snow accumulated above this level be carried away by the occupiers of lots respectively, 3dly.\u2014That where excavations in the snow are necessary for cellar doors, such excavations be securely covered with a doer of plauk, with its surface on a level with the snow, dthly.\u2014That all water courses which it may be necessary to.cut in the snow, be cut as pear as possible to the outside of the parapet, and do notexceed one foot in width, Whereas the practice of sliding on small sleighs and skaîtes in the streets of this city in the winter season, is found to be dangerous to passengers and a very grat nuisance, it is therefore ordered, that if hereafter any person or persons be found so slid= ing or skaiting, he shall pay a fine of five shillings, or be committed to the house of correction for a time not exceeding eight davs.That the survevor of Highways cause the above Regulations to he proclaimed by the Bellman, and cause the same to be félly executed ;
