proceed to the Harboer of Quebec; if the answers be not satisfactory, or the [uspecting Physician has any reason to suspect fraud on the part of the Master or person in charge, crew or passengers, he shall immediately order the vessel to such place as may be appointed for vessels detained under Quarantine of observation.He shall also call for the ship\u2019s papers, passengers\u2019 lizis and logbooks, and inspect them thoroughly, so as to ascertain the whole of (he occurrences during the voyage 3 should he meet with any resistance, he will make such signa! as may be determined on by the thereof, they may bring to in the harbour, but must not commnnicate with the shore or any other Vessel or boat until boarded by the Inspecting Puysician, aod Harbour Master, 9\u2014 Passengers.On arrival of any vessel at Grosse Isle, on board of which there shall be or shall have heen during the passage any case of Chulera, Fever, Small Pox, or severe cases of Scarlatios or Measles, and in all other cases where it shall be considered necessary by the lospeciing Physician and Commandaat, steerage passengers shall be landed with their luggage, and Washed and Purified, under the direction of the Medical Superintendent onshore.The passengers in the principal cabin shall not be landed except in cases of sickness, and may ut ail rimes proceed with the vessel, or otherwise after having Washed and Pu rified their luggage, to the satisfaction of the Inspecting .Physician, 10\u2014 Vessels.All vessels on their arrival at Grosse Isle shall anchor between Grosse Island, Clilt Istand, Two Heads Island and the White Buoy, until boarded by (he laspeciing Physician or Marine Boarding Officer, and after receiving u clean Bit) of Health, may proceed to he harbour of Quebec, and if they shall not Officer.All Vessels detained in Quarantine shall be Cieansed and Ventilated, and their between decks, if not painted or varvished, shall be well Wnitewashed 3 bat if painted or varnished, shall be weil and thoroughly scrubbed with soap and water ur les, and such portion of the ballast shall be thrown overboard as the Commandant or luspecting Physician may deem requisite, under the immediate at Quebec shall, accompanied by the Harbour Master, go off to all vessels arriving a1 Quebec or at the mouth of ihe River Si.Charles, and put (he questions to the Master or person in charge, as required Ly the second section 35 Geu.H11.cap.535 and moreover he shall require all Masters, or persons in chaige, to exhivit to him tbe Ji- cense or passport which they may have received from the luspecting Physician, al the Quarantine Station, and such Masters or persons in charge aie hereby commanded forthwith to submit (be same for examination to (he said In:pecting Physician at Quebec, as wcll from be answer he may seceive as from the tenor of (he passport, and the actual state of the health of the passengers and crew, thas gickness does not exist on board, he shall then grant to the M aster, or person in charge of such vessel, a certificate in writing, sewing forth the healihy state of the passengers aud crew, to the end wat such vessel may obtain a final discharge from Quarantine ; but if, on the cootrary, such Inspecting Physician at Quebec shall find any case of sick ness on board, or have jus: cause to apprehend the breaking out of any malady, itshall then be the duty of such Inspecting Physician at Quebec to direct a Yellow Flag to be hoisted at the main-top-gailant mast head, and he shall cause the vessel 10 return to and be detained at the mouth of the River St, Charles, for further observaiion and inspection 3 and having acquainted the Masteror person io eharge of such vessel with the penalties be will incur, if he should permit any communication whatever with his vessel until released from Quarantine, he shall proceed immediately to report all the circumstances to the Civil Secretary of His Excela lency the Governor in Chief.Provided always that if it shall appear to the said Inspecting Physician atany time after the arrival of any such vessel at Quevec or during its detens tion at tie mouth of the Hiver St Charles, (hat pestilentiat disease prevails on board ot any such vessel, or that it would be most advisable that such vessel sbould return to Grosse Isle there to land its Passengers, in such case he shall order aod direct (he Master or person in charge immediaiely te return thereto, and such master or person in charge is hereby directed to obey such order, and the proper Officers at Grosse Isle shall observe, in respect of such vessels, the same rules and regulations as are provided for vessels arriving at Grosse Isle inwards with sick.Should the Luspecting Pbysician at Quebec meet with any resist, ance in (he discharge of the duty required of him by this regulation, he will iinmediately make such signal as may be determined ov by himself and the Harbour Master, to show that assistance is necessary.When a vessel arrives at Quebec or shall be sent back to the mouth of the River S(.Charles, it shall become the duty of the Harbour Master to couvey the Enspecting Physician at Quebec on board of the same when required, and to supe port the said Inspecting Physician in ihe due enforcement of the above mentioned rulesand regulatious.The Harbour Master shall seize any boat in which any person may attempt to communicate from the shore, or from any other vessel with any vessel not discharged from Qua- rautine, He shall also seize every boat in which persons may have actually communicated with any such vessel and compel the persons having so communicated to return and remain in Quarantine, making use of such means as he may find necessary, to enforce obedience toany of the Regulus tions hereinbefore made, or which may hereafter be made, either by firing guns, or any other kind of force or viow lence.Any Steamboat or other vessel, that shall have towed or otherwise communicated with a vessel, not having l'on commence même à en perdre le souvenir ; et sans l\u2019ouvrage en question, tous les records ct les réminiscences de l\u2019ancien Québec et de ses l.calités, depuis près d\u2019un siècle, disparaitront sous peu d\u2019aunées saus qu'il soit possible de se les rappeler, Sous l'impression que l\u2019entreprise rencontrera l\u2019approbation publique.le soussigné s\u2019est décidé à publier le présent prospectus.Le caractère historique et autiquaire de l\u2019ou vrage sera aisément reconnu, si l\u2019on examine la courte description suivante du sujet de chaque vue.No.1.\u2014 Une vue générale de Québec.de la Pointe Lévi, Sur le terrein en avant, l\u2019on voit des troupes s\u2019embarquer et traverser la rivière dans des bateaux de la Lotte.Une ligne de vaisseaux de guerre à l'ancre La ville présente le coup d\u2019œil ordinaire, mais la vue est remarquable, en ce qu\u2019elle présente l\u2019accroissement de la Basse- Ville depuis 1759.\u2014Uù passe maintenant larue St l\u2019aul, l\u2019on ue voit que quelques maisons au détour de lu pointe du Sault-au-wa- tulot, près du roc.L'amas des maisons dont le coin était la présente Banque de Moutréal, se fait aussi appercevoir.kn bas de la maison de l\u2019hon.J.Hale, est un bâtiment du commerce, sur les chantiers, à la grève.L'on distingue facilement le quai de la lteine et la place de débarquement de la Basse-Ville, No 11.\u2014Partie Nord Ouest de la Ville de Québec.Ceci est une vue, de la rivière St Charles, prise au dessus du Parc du kioi.L'on y apperçoit l'arrière du talais de l\u2019Intendant, ainsi que les ramparts, tels qu\u2019ils étaient alors.Laligne est maintenant à peu près la même, montant de la pelite rivière au cap, en traversant l\u2019Eesplanade.L\u2019on distingue les casernes de l'artillerie, ainsi que les magasins.L\u2019on y peut remarquer la Canoterie, avec un éditice qui existe encore dans la rue st.Charles, et dernièrement em - pluyé comme brasserie.No.111.Le Palais de I'Intendant.C\u2019est une vue très intéressante de la celèbre résidence des Intendants de Québec, U\u2019est un superbe édifice, qui est en face du mur, avec une cour et des ailes, écuries, &c.L'on voit les jardins vers l\u2019Hôpital Général, bordés d\u2019arbres à l\u2019ouest.Le contraste entre cette perspective et la présente apparence du lieu, est très frappant, No.1V.La Trésorerie et le Collège des Jésuites.Ceci donne une perspective de la cathédrale française \u2014 du côté du Collège des Jésuites, (Maintenant converti en casernes)\u2014et du site de la maison de Mr.Lelagrave, rue la Fabrique, et est une vue intéressante.La rue la Fabrique n\u2019est pas continuée plus bas que la maison de Mr.Massue.No.V.Le Collège et l\u2019Eglise des Jésuites.C\u2019est un précieux reste de l\u2019antiquité, donnant le front du Collège des Jésuites, à peu près comme il parait maintenant ; avec le dehors de l\u2019ancienne et célèbre église des Jésuites, la première bâtie à Québec, et dans la quelle CiIAMPLAIN a (te inhumé.Elle était bâtie sur le terrein appelé le marché au foin, et joignait presque le Collège, près de l'entrée de la bibliothèque de la garnison.ERASER No.VI.L'intérieur de l'Eglise des Jéwurtes.C\u2019est aussi une vue précieuse, en ce qu\u2019elle montre la beauté | de l'intérieur de cette Eglise qui n'existe plus, et les dommages que lui ont causés les bombes lancées de la Pointe Lévi.No.VIL.Lu Cathédrale, le Collège des Jésuites et l\u2019Eglise des Frères Récollets, Celle-ci donne une curieuse perspective de la Place d'Armes.En front, parait la vieille église des Récollets, sur le site de la présente Cour de Justice et de l\u2019Eglise Anglicanne.Un détachement de grenadiers parade dans le centre\u2014et des officiers montagnards conversent ensemble.Le vieil arbre, au coin de la rue du Trésor, se fait remarquer, ainsi que la | maison de Mr.Koi et celle de Mr.Fortier, presque comme à présent.No.VIII.L'intérieur de l'Eglise des Frères Récollets.C\u2019est encore un morceau intéressant ;
