came in a letter of resignation from a music teacher at H, S, Billings school in Chateauguay.It was read in Chateauguay Monday night to the monthly meeling of the Protestant Regional School Board of Chateau- guay Valley.In her letter the teacher slammed a system which she claimed threw students of different musical back-: grounds into the same things.The upset teacher compared her daily routine October 9 Nineteen-year-old Urgel Le blanc had driven his 1967 car off the road after missing the curve at Douglas Corner about 10:30 p.m.Sunday.Jean Louis Plante of Ste.Agnes de Dundee, the first person to arrive on the scene, pulled his car over to the side to help Leblanc.A third auto, driven by Clarence Coffin of LaSalle, then swept around the curve and collided with the back end of the parked vehicle, suffered contusions of the leg.Damage to the Coffin auto estimated at $1,000 and to the Plante car, $700.genda of a sub-committee for a later decision.Computer error A computer the company.” commissioners replied with a motion for damage action against the computer firm to recover damages.New recommendations Mr.Nicholus DiPerio, a chartered insurance broker and a member of the Insurance Brokers’ Association of Quebec addressed the weekly luncheon meeting of the Huntingdon Rotary club Monday at the Chateau Huntingdon, He gave the members a des- criptirn of the role the insurance broker plays in modern society, and told of his responsibilities to his clients, the insurance companies, and his associates.He traced the development of to-day's qualified broker from the original insurance agent who sold policies on a part time basis and had no further interest in the matter after the sale was made, It was not until July 11th 1963 when the Province of Quebec Insurance Brokers’ Act was passed that requirements and responsibilities for qualified brokers were defined and laid down.Mr.DiPerio saw increasing needs for the broker, Financial conglomerates have been purchasing individual insurance ~ompanies, and their operations sometimes demanded more complex evaluation of profit margin against public service than the original company had been working on.This in turn required the services of a broker to put forward the clients’ mation in Ormstown Village.' | / M ] For next year's timetables, CVR Principal Mr.E.Temple- fave asked that IBM be The classes, held every Tuesday afternoon at the Legion hall on Fairview Road.have made Huntingdon a focal point for organizations from all across Canada, The program is a joint project of the Legion and the Mareh of Dimes, and as such, is unique.Those for whom it was designed have participated fully until today be:ween 25 and 30 turn up for the weekly meet ings.The classes are designed both for Huntingdon's senior citizens and the disabled.They provide an oceasion for those atiending to express themselves artistically and to work with their hands, The therapeutic value of such exercises alone is great, yet the worth of the program has had an added boost by the excellent quality and variety of the therapy | toods produced.Tuesday afternoon sees ‘he tables in the Lestion Hall co‘fred with an array of goods;
