run of a lively comedy took place at St.John the Evangelist Church Hall last week as The Playmakers presented “Miss Tracy”, by Ireland Wood.Margaret Cammell in the title role showed taste and restraint in her way of handling the various situations, from sentiment tp slapstick.She was at her best in the first act, as the untransform- ed Miss Tracy.as yet untouched by the ministrations of hafrdresser and couturier.Character parts are obviously Miss Cammells forte, and her first appearance in a so- .phisticated London entourage in her home made finery, straight from a country vicarage, was good comedy.Roberta Lubert as Mrs.Lancaster gave a well-thought-out character study.It was a pleasure to watch young Magda Yurkovitz acquit herself of her part as a fluttery English Our Hollywood Reporter In Fort Worth FORT WORTH, Texas, Aprjl 29—Years ago Canada became known to the typical American as a snow-covered land of savage Indians, where everyone spoke French and Or imagine an Irish Roman Catholic collaborating with an Irish Presbyterian aftér four centuries of enmity ! It is almost inconceivable.And yet the outsider - say the Communist, or the Mohammedan or the Buddhist - does not see too much difference between the Irish Roman Catholic and the Irish Presbyterian.From any one of those three points of view there is little to choose between them; ihey are both Christian and that is enough, to condemn them.They have a Christian point of view.But narrow the limits a little.In the Anglican Communion ‘there are Evangelicals and Anglo- Catholics, not to speak of those who belong to neither party; but both to themselves and outsiders as well they have a common point of view: they both regard the Bible and the Book of Common Prayer as ‘the most important books in the world.Or take the Roman Catholics: there are Jesuits, and Dominicans and Franciscans, not to speak of those who belong to none of the orders; there have been deadly battles between them, hut no one would deny that they have a common point of view in their allegiance to the Papacy.: So in the Christian Church as a whole: ‘there are many differences, and very serious ones at that, but there is also a common BAPTIST WESTMOUNT BAPTIST CHURCH Sherbrooke St.W.and Roslyn Ave.John Alexander Johnston, D.D., \\ Minister Mr.Hibbert Troop, Organist and Choirmaster 11:00 nm.BLOSSOMING WILDERNESS & REJOICING DESERT Anthem - The Wilderness” COMMUNION & RECEPT OF MEMBERS SUNDAY.Han, SCHOOL 7.40 pom.CHARLES FOSTER, B.A, B.D.THURSDAY, 7.45 pan.ORDINATION OF MR, REBIN BONNEY Rreeplinn & Refreshments - REV.VISITORS CORDIALLY WELCOMED point of view in our devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ.Is there then any way in which we can emphasize that common point of view in the face of the world?Such a common point of view would not prevent us emphasizing our differences.I should continue to present my Anglican point of view and sell it to as many Roman Catholics and United Church people as possible, and I am quite sure they would continue to do the same thing to my flock.After all I am quite sure that my way of thinking is right, and I should be committing a sin if I did not try to share it with others.But when one of my flock felt that the Roman or Presbyterian form of Christianity was closer to the truth than the Anglican, I should not consider him a lost soul if he followed his conscience and his understanding.I should try to remember that even though he had left my congregation he still raised ur the Christian banner in the face of a hostile world;
