commençant à un poteau et borne do pierre planté sur la rive\" sud de la rivière ou golfe Saint-Laurent, marquant l'angle le plus au nord du dit township de l ourelle, et l'angle le plus à l'ouest de la dite étendue ou compeau de terre ; de là, eu allant à l'ouest le long de la rivière ou golfe Saint-Laurent à marée haute, 803 chaînes plus ou moins, jusqu'à un poteau et borne de pierre plant\" sur la limite est du lot No.03, dans le premier rang de la dite étendue ou compeau de terre, et sur la limite ouest du lot No.1, dans le township de Duchesnay, à une place communément appelée Cap Marsoui ; de là sud 11\" est 8011 chaînes et quatre chaînons, plus ou moins, jusqu\"ù l'angle sud-est de la dite étendue ou compeau de terre et l'angle sud-ouest du dit township de Duchesnay ; de là, sud, 79° ouest 326 chaînes et 58 chaînons, plus ou moins, jusqu'à l'angle le plus à l'est du township de Tourelle susdit, et l'angle le plus au sud de la dite étendue ou compeau de terre ; de là, le long de la ligne extérieure nord-est du dit township de Tourelle, nord 45° ouest.960 chaînes et 30 chaînons, plus ou moins, jusqu'au point du départ.La dite étendue ou compeau de terre ainsi limitée et circonscrite, contenant 48,«:00 acres du terre, plus ou moins, en superficie.Et la dite étendue ou compeau de tone a été de plus disposé et subdivisé par un mesurage fait sur les lieux en rangs et en lois, comme suit : le premier rang faisant face à la rivière ou golfe Saint-Laurent, étant divisé en 6i lots, savoir : G3 lots numérotes de l'ouest à l'est, savoir : du No.1 au No.03 inclusivement, et lot lettre A, tous étant des lots brisés et irréguliers ; et le second rang en arrière du premier», étant subdivisé en 03 lois, numérotes de l'ouest à l'est, savoir : du No.1 au No 63 inclusivement, dont les lots réguliers mesurent chacun 80 chaînes et bO chaînons en profondeur, par 13 chaînes en largeur el Contenant chacun 100 acres de terre en superlicie, excepté la réserve ordinaire de cinq par cent pour les grands chemins.Le reste de la dite étendue n'étant pas encore subdivisé.Le tout tel qu'il appert au diagramme ou plan de la dite étendue de terre annexé au dit rapport, en autant que la nature et les circonstances peuvent le permettre et conformément aux rapports d'arpentage fait sur les lieux, tels que déposées dans les archives du département des terres de la couronne de notre dite province.Et de plus, conformément aux dispositions du dit acte, déclarons et oi donnons par les présentés que le TRENTIEME jour du mois de MARS prochain, sera le jour à compter duquel et après lequel notre présente Proclamation viendra en force, et que la dite étendue do terre, telle que ci-dessus délimitée et décrite, et toute et chaque purtie d'icello, sera et demeurera, à compter du dit TRENTIEME jour du mois de MARS prochain, un township sous lo nom du township de CHRISTIE, à toutes Uns et in- in the thirtieth year of Our Reign, and intituled : \" An Act for the Union of Canada, Nova-Scotia and New-Brunswick and the Government thereof, and for other purposes connected therewith,\" it is amongst oilier things enacted, that \"tho Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec may from time to time by Proclamation, under the Great Heal of tin.' Province, to take effect from a day to be appointed therein, constitute townships in those parts of the Province of Quebec in which townships are not then already constituted, and lix the metes and bounds thereof :\" And Whereas, We have thought lit to constitute a certain tract of our waste lands situate and being in thc-County of Gaspé, in the district of Gaspé, in Our Province of Quebec, a township by the name of the township of CHRISTIE ; Now Know Yk, that, under the authority of the said Act of the Parliament of the United King* (loin of Great Britain and Ireland, We have constituted and by this Our Royal Proclamation, do constitute into a township by the name of the township of CHRISTIE, that certain tract of our waste lands situate and being in the said county of Gaspé, in the said district of Gaspé, in our province of Quebec, and bounded and described as follows, in and by the report of tho Honorable Pierre I'Yrtin, Our Commissioner of Crown Lands, in our said Province of Quebec, made to the Lieutenant-Governor of our said Province, to wit; on the north by the river or gulf £aint Lawrence, on the east by tho township of Duchesnay, on the west by the township of Tourelle, and on the south by the waste lands of the Grown ; beginning at a post and stone boundary planted on the south shore of the river or gulf Saint Lawrence, marking the northernmost angle of the said township of Tourelle and the westernmost angle of the said tract or parcel of land ; thence pastwardly, along high watermark of the river or gulf of Saint Lawrence, 803 chains, more or less, to a post and stone boundary planted on the eastern limit of lot No.63 in the lirst range of the said tract or pared of land, and on the western limit of the lot No.1, i the township of Duchesnay.at a place commonly c lied Cap Marsoui ; thence south, II\" east, 809 chain 4 links, more or less, to the south-east angle of the said tract or parcel of land, and the south-west corner of the said township of Duchesnay : thence south, 79° west, 326 chains 58 links, more or less, to the easternmost angle of the township of Tourelle aforesaid, and the southernmost angle of the said tract or parcel of land ; thence along the north-east outline of the said township of Tourelle, north 15° west, 900 chains and 30 links, more or less, to Hie place of beginning.The said tract or parcel of land thus limited and circumscribed, containing 48,000 acres of land, more or less, in superficies.And the said tract or parcel of land has been further in part laid out and subdivided by uctual measurement in the field into two ranges and lois, as follows : the first range, fronting on the river or gulf of Saint Lawrence, being divided into 04 lots, thai is to say, into 63 lots numbered from west to east, namely, from No.1 to No.03 inclusive, and lot letter A ;
