Chaque lot de terra sur le plan y est indiqué par un numéro d'une seule série, qui est inscrit dans le livre de renvoi pour y désigner le même lot.\"21GS.Après que eopio des plans et livres do renvoi a été déposée dans un bureau d'onregis-tréutent pour toute sa circonscription, et qu'il a été donne avis par proclamation tel que mentionné en l'article 2169, lo numéro donné à un lot sur le plan et dans le livre de renvoi est la vraie description de ce lot et suilit dans tout document quelconque ; et touto partie de ce lot est suffisamment désignée en déclarant qu'elle fait partie do ce lot et en indiquant à qui ello appartient, avec ses tenants et aboutissants ; et tout terrain coin posé île parties do plus d'un lot numéroté est suffisamment désigne en déclarant qu'il est ainsi eomposé, et en indiquant qu'elle partie de chaque lot numéroté il contient.\" La description d'un immeuble dans l'avis d'une demande en ratification do titre, ou dans l'avis d'une vente par le shérif, ou par licitation forcée, ou de touto antre vente ayant les effets du décret, ou dans telle vente ou jugement de ratification, ne sera censée suffisante que si ello est faite conformément aux prescriptions du présent article.\" Aussitôt après quo lo dépôt do tel plan et livre de renvoi a été fait et qu'il on a été donné avis, los notaires sont tenus, on rédigeant les actes concernant les immeubles indiqués sur tel plan, «le dési gnor ces immeubles par le numéro qui leur est donné sur ie plan et dans lo livro dû renvoi, do la manière prescrite ci-dessus; And considering tho following provisions ol articles 21GG, 2167, 2IGS, 2169, 2170, 2171, 2172, 2173 and 2176a of tho Civil Code of Lower Canada, to wit : \"2166.Tho Commissioner of Crown Lands fur-nishes each registry office with a copy of a correct plan, made in conformity with the provisions of chapter 37 of the Consolidated .Statutes for Lower Canada ami the statute 27th and 28th Vict., ch.40, shewing distinctly all tho lots of land of each city, town, village, parish, township, or part there-of, comprised within tho division to which such office belongs.\"2167.Such plan must bo accompanied by a copy of a book of reference in which aresetforth : \" 1.A general description of each lot of land shewn upon tho plan ; \" 2.The name of tho owner of each lot, so far as it can be ascertained ; \" 3.-All remarks necessary to the right trader standing of the plan.\" Each lot of land shewn upon tho plan is designated thereon by a number which is one} of a single scrie3, and is entered in the book of reference to designate tho same lot.\" 216S.When a copy of the plans and hooks of reference for the whole of a registration division has been deposited in tho office for such division, BU) h notice has been given by proclamation in the manner mentioned in article 2169, tho number given to a lot upon the plan and in the book of reference is.tho true description of such lot, and is sufficient as such in any document whatever ; and any part of such lot is sufficiently designated by stating tint it is part of such lot and mentioning who isthoowuor thereof and tho properties conterminous thereto ; and any piece of land composed of parts or more than one numbered lot is sufficiently designated by stating that it is tOcomposed and mentioning what part of each numbered lot it contains.\" No description of an immovable in the notice of application fbr confirmation of title, or in tho notice of a sale by the sheriff or by forced licitation, or of any sale having tho effect of a sheriff's sale, or in tho sheriff's deed, or in the judgment of confirmation, will bo doe mod sufficient unless it is made in conformity with tho provisions of this article.\" As soon as such plan and book of reference have been deposited and notice thereof has boon given, notaries passing acts concerning immovables indicated on such plan are bound to designate such immovables by tho number given to them npon such plan and in the book of reference, in tho manner above prescribed ;
