by the new Finance Minister, Hon.A.W.McLelan, who proved beyond the (possibility of successful contradiction that, notwithstanding the heavy obligations which had been undertaken from time to time, the exist-of a period of general depression, and the fact that a portion of the Dominion had a year previously been the scene of an unjustifiable uprising, Canada, as a whole, was prosperous and the people were contented and generally well to do.Of course Sir Richard Cartwright and op-m»a the Government took the op-3, and their organs backed them Resenting that the Dominion is \u201eerge of
