The play runs for four days, beginning December 9th; with four performances in the mornings for school children from across the region including Farnham Elementary, Parkview, Knowlton Academy and Waterloo Elementary; plus two evening performances for the public.“The church is set up with a great stage which is good because there’s a large cast. And what better place for this story than an actual church,” said Lapointe.“We’ve done this play in the past, but years ago. It’s truly a delightful play with a humorous storyline and vivid characters. It will appeal to audiences of all ages.” The plot centres on the Herdmans, a family of six children, reputed to be the worst kids in the history of the world. The Herdmans, who have never heard the Christmas story and don’t understand what all the fuss is about, actually come to understand the true meaning of Christmas; more than the children who have been hearing the story since birth.“Even the adults in the show are touched by the simple faith of the Herdmans and end up praising them for making it the Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” said Lapointe.“It’s a great Christmas story with good roles for the kids.I’ve also enlisted some teachers for the cast. We’re busy rehearsing in the classroom and are anxious to begin rehearsals in the church.” DAVID ANDERSON (Bromont) - Liberal MNA Pierre Paradis posed for a photo with Bromont mayor Pauline Quinlan at a well attended Quebec Liberal Party “meet your candidate" cocktail event which took place at the Auberge Bromont on Monday, Nov.24th.Continuing it’s Christmas activities, Laura Barr will direct the Heroes, band and choir in a concert at Cowansville’s Anglican Church on December 18th.“We’re calling the event Celebrations from Around the World,” said Barr.“The admission is a can of non-perishable food for the town’s food bank.Christmas is a great time to teach children about how important it is to give back to the community.Sharing and caring is what Christmas is all about.” Public performances of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever take place on Wednesday, December 10th and Thursday, December 11th, beginning at 7 p.m.at Emmanuel United Church, 203 rue Principale, Cowansville.Admission is $5.Celebrations from Around the World with the band and choir from Heroes, Memorial takes place Thursday, December 18th at 7 p.m.at Cowansville Anglican Church, 409 rue du Sud, Cowansville.Admission is a non-perishable food item.Paradis visits Bromont A Heroes Christmas E9 Pierre Marziali 'Y* Pharmacist Familiprix pierre.marziali@familiprix.com Hours: Mon.-Wed.9-8 p.m.Tlmrs.
