Our network solutions and computer support contracts are designed to reduce your operational cost by making sure your computer systems are running all the time, thus reducing your employees' downtime.Kezber i Solutions' commitment to you, is complete customer satisfaction.Kezber I Solutions was able to remove the burden of handling day to day computer issues and services at Interstar. Now I am able to focus my energy on growing my business. Briffs Abercom News A special dedication service was held at All Saints church in Abercorn for their memorial garden planted at the front of the Church. The two doors were refinished and a new church sign added, thus the entrance has taken on a new look. This was made possible through generous donations from families whose roots go back generations.A plaque with names of donors and those in memory of was placed in the church. After the service all enjoyed coffee, sweets and visiting with old friends and neighbours.Members of Abercom W.I.held a successful yard sale at the home of Arlene Bleser to raise money for the hall. Many thanks to Gerald, Kathy and Joan Bleser, André Loubier and Jason Lahue for the extra help needed. They were pleased that Ruth Culley could join them for the day.The Abercom W.I.regular meeting was held Sept.7 at their hall.President Pauline Wilkins opened the meeting with the collect then the usual business followed. We were pleased with the yard sale -this will cover our expenses for the rest of the year. Many thanks to Kathy and Joan Bleser for mowing the lawn. This was a great help to us.Ticket sales on the lovely handmade quilt given to us by Esther Laraway are going well.Members were reminded of county convention in Sutton on Sept.26.Next meeting will be Oct.1.— Submitted by Patricia Lahue Knowlton United Church On Aug.18 the Knowlton United Church bid adieu to Gwen Badger, a cherished member of the church for over 60 years. It was with sorrow that the congregation learned that Gwen would be moving to Picton, Ont to live near her daughter, May.A surprise farewell party, put on by the members of the Session and the UCW ladies, was held in the church basement after the Sunday service.Gwen’s children and grandchildren attended, and everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet luncheon.Afterwards, Gwen was presented with a beautiful watercolour painting of the church by our talented local artist, Rhonda Price.Gwen’s association with Knowlton United began when this young school teacher from the West Island moved to Knowlton to marry Ernest Badger in 1941.They lived first on Bolton Pass Road, later purchasing a farm on Bailey Road. There they raised four children, Donald, Arthur, May, and Meta.Later, Gwen could become more involved with the UCW, eventually accepting the office of president which she has held for many years. She also represented the Church on the Quebec Sherbrooke Presbytery right up until last year. She and Ernest were also faithful members of the choir. When her dear husband, Ernest, passed away in 1989, Gwen was asked to replace him on the Session, and later accepted the role ofGerk of Session, a position she held until her departure.Gwen wanted to extend the following message, “I thank everyone who has helped in any way to make my association with Knowlton United church so full of vmy fond memories and will miss you all”.Oh Gwen, of so many hats, we wish you well in Fhcton and will try to do you proud, but we will all miss you.
