wedding festivities he had gone to had to take a back seat to the climax of a dramatic manhunt which ended successfully Sunday.Mr.Healy was with his parents attending the wedding of Neil Bennett of Lennoxville to Miss Sarah Elizabeth Wood-side, of Summerside.According to Mr.Healy, RCMP officers and their dogs involved in the search were quartered near the motel in which they were staying, about 14 miles from Summerside.Sunday, the RCMP dog Ship, a German Shepherd, and his trainer, Const.W.L, Davis, of Charlottetown, flushed Andrew Alfonso Arsenault, aged 15, from a barn where he had been hiding.Arsenault was taken into custody and charged with Claim damages for $164,415 A damage suit for $164,415 has been filed against a Sherbrooke motorist for injuries received last year in a traffic province. When Mr.Healy.approached the officer in charge of Ship, and asked permission to take their photograph, Const.Davis refused politely, saying that after three days in the woods, he was not presentable. However, he permitted a picture to be taken of the dog.Arsenault managed to hide from RCMP and other searchers for a week but surrendered quietly when approached by the constable and the dog.He was armed with a .22 rifle. The youth managed to live off food from vacated homes in the area after police warned the residents that the armed boy was stiil free. Many went to stay with friends and relatives until the hunt came to an end.Police said the boy appeared in good condition despite his ordeal.Gallant, a well-liked farmer, was shot through the head while he slept with his wife and six year-old daughter. The killer had built a crude platform to reach the first floor bedroom of the Gallant farm home, then shoved a rifle through the screen and fired. The police dog.Ship, one of three brought in by the Moun-tiies.picked up a scent and followed a trail to a barn on the property of Elmer Gallant.RCMP inspector Arthur Argent, brought in from Truro for the search, said the dense AUGUST I960 Summer Viewing Water safety In local court last week, nine Sherbrooke district residents were fined for a variety of infractions of the Small Vessels regulations of the Canada Shipping Act- The infractions ranged from lack of adequate life-saving equipment in the boat, to permitting water skiing with only one person in the boat, to improperly marked boats.Sentences received were comparatively light, but the RCMP served warning that the roundup was a prelude to a crackdown on similar violations.It\u2019s rather late in the vacation season now for a crackdown, but late or not, Germans intending to go to the developing countries to prepare them for the sociological, economic and cultural con dirions which the> will find there, and second, leaders from the developing countries and from Europe will be brought together to enable them to exchange views and so promote mutual understanding. The foundation has a study and documentation centre attached to it.The task of
