Know ye, that being well assured of the loyalty, Prudence and integrity of Louis René Chaussegros de Léry esquire, I have thought fit to constitude and appoint him the said Louis-René Chaussegros de Léry, to be grand voyer and surveyor of Highways and streets, of, in and for the District of Montreal, in the room and stead of the Honorable René-Amable de Boucherville, who has resigned the said office, with power to cause the Highroads, streets and Bridges, and Public Ferries to be duly repaired, when ever it shall be necessary, acshall hereafter be made for that purpose, To Have, Hold,Exercise and Enjoy the said office of grand voyer and surveyor of the High-ways and Streets aforesaid unto him the said [...]
