he shall work under the direction of a journeyman./) The duration of work of apprentices shall be the same as that of journeymen.g) Overtime work done by an apprentice shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half based on the regular rate set for apprentices.h) Polishing and finishing trades, for apprenticeship purposes, shall be considered as intimately connected and i elated to one another and shall constitute but one trade.i) The employer shall do his utmost to teach the apprentices the operations of the trade chosen by them.j) In the case of an apprentice polisher or an apprentice finisher, the employer shall teach him all connected operations during the period of apprenticeship, namely: First year The finishing machine polishing, hand scraping and edger operating; Second year The large polishing machine operating so that the apprentice may complete his entire apprenticeship during the period of apprenticeship above mentioned.k) Every apprentice, during his apprenticeship, shall put in a good day's work and take good care of tools entrusted to him as well as of the materials supplied.I) No professional employer shall be compelled to keep in his employ an apprentice whose work is unsatisfactory.The employer may also dis-mise an apprentice for misbehavious, or if the latter refuses or neglects to obey his foreman's or a journeyman's or dera, or if it is evident that he pays but little attention to his work or if he does not abide by the customs of the trade. basis.XVII.No employee may take with him the employer's tools or materials for the purpose of carrying out private-concern contracts.XVIH.All the operations of the hardwood floor industry are included in the foregoing classifications or groups and no other classification or group may be introduced without the approval of the Committee.XIX.The Committee may be held responsible towards the employee
