up in the steeple this bell has been sending out its message for many years to the surrounding countryside. Now the bell is gone.Someone climbed the fifty feet to get it, removed the bell and hanger and drove the whole thing away.A couple of weeks ago a service station attendant in Shawville saw a truck drive by with a church bell on board. He thought the truck had a Montreal licence. This is the only information which has so far come to light about the matter. The theft has been drawn to our attention by one of the parishioners in the hope that publicity in The Equity may bring out something more.If anyone has any information which might be of help, please notify the Provincial Police at Campbell\u2019s Bay, and or The Equity and we will direct the information to the appropriate
