a story in the paper about an association of interests developing between Consolidated Paper Corporation Limited and Hollands, which is a producer of fine paper. As this mutual aid agreement will mean a larger potential use of pulp by Consolidated, it is possible that the move may be influencial in bringing closer the day when that corporation will need their proposed new pulp mill.No options have yet been taken up in the Litchfield fields which Consolidated has been surveying and examining for the past many months but nevertheless it is considered quite possible that some action might be seen there by spring.\t7 t ie Meanwhile ,for those who are hoping for better things for Pontiac County it appears that the Department of Education has come around to seeing things our way and is now busy studying methods by which the educational needs of Pontiac children can be met inside thè County, both Protestant and Roman Catholic.Since the people in the positions of power are now moving in the right direction the populace can sit back for a while and await salutory developments. And on the ARDA front we are also assured that matters are in hand and representations are being made on our behalf to both the Provincial and Federal governments. We, the people of Pontiac, are going to be asked to form local ARDA committees to comply with the rules of the Act and we can only hope that enough people will have die time available to organize such committees. It seems tedious to be required to sit on more and more committees but that's the way it has to be, so let s face roses.ville.Brownie Hews On Tuesday evening, Feb.9, the second Shawville Brownie Pack held open house for their mothers. The highlights of the night included enrollment of the.Tweenies, investment of then with the Mill prospects good, the School problem on the mend and ARDA on the horizon we have this very interesting religious crusade coming to Shawville for a week starting Sunday. This is a good time for everyone who has ever wondered what goes on at these affairs to take their seat and find out.The faithful followers will all be there, of course, but these rallies are particularly intended to attract others, the curious, the skeptical, and the seekers alike.Sometime during the crusade everyone should go down to the High School and see for themselves.Such an event may never return to
