If the calves are finished into steers he should get $200 per animal or a farm income of about $10,000 yearly In beef cattle the farm income can be increased by increasing the number of cows.Again lie cannot afford to buy much feed Volume is important in any business and particularly in farming.Various marketing programs are now in effect designed towards orderly and efficient marketing of Agricultural products.I boh eve the degree of success of all marketing plans will depend on the degree farmers individually and as a group are willing to: 1.\tTake the responsibility of limiting production or disposing of surplus products without affecting their own market.2.\tProduce No 1 quality product and market it under the best possible conditions 3.\tGiving their general support to programs which should he in the best interest of farmers It is easy to say what should be done hut majority approval is essential if a program is to succeed.45 We live in an organized Society and each of us live* within a group within this Society. In most groups wages have increased considerably over the past few years. One group who have not shared generally in this increase in wages is the farmer who belongs to a group who is probably the least organized of any group 1 believe Governments are generally m agreement that if the farm income is to he raised the best hope of achieving this end is pupils amazed spectators with their recently learned talents. After a short season of lessons, local youngsters who took part looked very good and their costumes represented a thought and work oiy the part of the aduhs involved.Displaying a professional style of dancing on ice were the teacher, Mrs.Moore, and Marva Ournie-Mills of the Renfrew Skating Club.Donnie Poirier\u2019s very professional step dancing was also a big specialty of the show but the most rapt attention of all was evident when the children of the skating classes took to the ice. After the crowding of Miss Linda Wickens as Ice Follies Queen, the youngsters took to the ice in a series of solos and group routines.Patricia Hod-gins, Sherry Sleeves, Queen Linda, Connie Crick, Jo Anne Hobbs, Mary Maruwell, Bonnie McKay were among the soloists and Gayle McKenzie and Jessica Pennybacker performed a delightful duet. The program was given a professional touch by CHOV's Pat léonard as Master of Ceremonies and Murray Moore program already planned for a later time which will double productive capacity to a thousand tons of pulp per day. With the new pulp mill due to start up in the tall ol this year Consolidated will shortly begin the training program for operating personnel. In Montreal a dozen people have been working since lust July writing 14 training manuals to teach people how to use the equipment, some of gallons. At the other end close to the River is a water clarifier, 150 lcot in diameter. This is part of the two million dollar purification system for the effluent from the mill While much of the work is going on at the site itself a task force of men is preparing for another aspect of the job: selling the pulp thait is made at the mill Salesmen from Consolidated Pontiac, based in' Montreal, have visited most of the potential buyers Ln Canada and the United States within a reasonable shipping distance so by the time the mill starts producing Consolidated will have set up its market for the
