Mrs.R.G.Hodge in Cookshire.Lloyd Hodge took his father and mother to Colebrook, N.H.for dinner on Sunday to celebrate his mother’s birthday, after which they went to The Balsams and took pictures of the scenery.George and Marjory Pinchin and George Court ot Cookshire accompanied Mrs.A.G.GLen to a District Legion meeting in Me-gantic on Sunday afternoon.George and Marjory Pinchin attended the funeral of Waymer La-beree at the church in Bulwer, and took part in the Legion Service at the cemetery in Eaton Corner.ry which they attended.Then Sister Roberta spoke.She thanked the Lodge for her corsage and gift and brought the greetings from the Rebekah Assembly of Quebec, as well as her own personal greetings.She thanked the lodge for their item but said she had never liked her name “Roberta”, but since we exemplified each letter by a reading, she didn’t know how she was going to live up to the words.She gave us an inspiring address on “Candles” - referring to their light that comes from them They help to light up the world.Lodge closed in ritual form, and all descended to the banquet hall where the tables were covered with white cloths and red, white and blue streamers interspersed with colorful butterflies.There were silver candles in silver candle holders beside the special cake made in butterfly design, iced in green and pink.On the walls behind the President were her “Watchwords.” There were numerous bouquets of flowers adorning the hall.Lunch served buffet style by the committee in charge, consisted of salads, cold cuts, rolls, pickles, ice-cream and cake.home as long as sible.Question: How are you meeting the cost of this building?Answer: The total cost will be about $70,000 dollars.Mr.James Atto who did such a good job at the Connaught Home, North Hatley, is the general contractor.We have received about three-quarters of this amount through legacies, memorial gifts and special donations; we are receiving volunteer help with painting, curtains and floors, etc.We do appreciate the help of many interested friends.Question: When will the addition be ready for occupancy?Answer: Towards the end of November the rooms should be ready.Question: Is there any special feature about the addition?Answer: Yes, we are planning to have a whirlpool bath facility in the Home.We are receiving donations for this, and hope to install it
