capacity audience in the city hail here last night in the interests of F.Wellington Hay, Liberal candidate in North Perth, reviewed among other things the reduction in taxes in the country and brooke to have an annual exhibition so ably managed by a private company composed of prominent fellow-citizens who without remuneration of any kind give an enormous amount of time and talent to carry on from year to year?Nearly all the other exhibitions in Canada are' municipal enterprises, and if there should happen to be a deficit on the year’s operations, it must be borne by the taxpayers. With the exception of a budget he would further reduce taxation.Mr.Robb reviewed conditions of the country when the King govern-m-em: took office in 1921.He told that in one period of 1921 it took 117 cents to nothing short of a disgrace that an important city like Montreal should not have an annual exhibition like Toronto, Ottawa, Sherbrooke, Quebec and Three Rivers, and one of the planks in his platform as Mayor would be to provide an exhibition for Canada’s foremost city.Sherbrooke has an Exhibition, and it is incumbent upon every citizen to support and boost it.People have been heard to say, “I have not attended the Exhibition for years and will not take the time to bother with it this year.” Not very encouraging for the management when people in the home town talk in this
