Titre :
Morning chronicle and commercial and shipping gazette
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

public as the best and most romplctr wlfich the present state of medical scienre can afford. They are compounded not of the drugs themselvca, but of the medicinal virtues only of vegetable remediea, extracted by rhcmieal process in a state of purity, and combined together in such a manner as to insure the best result*.This system of composition fer medicines has N«n n fouaff in the Cherry I\u2019ec! ral and Pill# both, to produce a more efficient remedy than had hitherto I'cen obtained by any umny-m.The reason ia p: i frctly obvious.\\V bile by the old mode of componHon, every medicine is hnttlened with more or less of nen-monirui# and injurious qualities, by this e.nh individual virtue only that I» desired for the curative effect is present.Ail the inert and obnoxious quai-itiea of each substance employed are left l»ehmd, the curative virtues only being retained.Hence it is self-evident th# clfeeta should prove as they have proved more purely remedial, and the Pilla a surer, more nowerful antidote tn disease than any other medicine known to the world.Aa i» is (Vwquently expedient tha* my medieiiis should be taken under the counsel of an attending Physician, and as be could not properly judge of a remedy without knowing its composition, 1 have supplied the accurat# Formula* by which both mv Pectoral and Pilla are made to the whole body of Practitioners in the
