Titre :
The Quebec chronicle
La ligne éditoriale du journal est définie comme suit : « [.] in the management of The Morning Chronicle we shall, therefore, begin by simply declaring, that, as we glory in our connexion with the British Empire, it will be our undeviating aim and unremitting endeavour, to create and foster a cordial attachment to those time-honoured institutions which have made her so illustrious in the annals of the world ». (May 18, 1847, p. 2)

[Traduction]
Voici les différents titres que le Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph a connus depuis ses débuts : Disponibles en ligne : The Morning Chronicle (Jan. 1847 - Nov. 1850) The Morning Chronicle and Commercial and Shipping, 1850-1888 The Morning Chronicle (Feb. 1888 - May 1888) The Quebec Morning Chronicle, 1888-1898 The Quebec Chronicle, 1898-1924 Non disponible en ligne : The Chronicle Telegraph (1925-1934) The Québec Chronicle-Telegraph (1934 à ce jour)

First of all there is the regimental fund.The rock bottom price to lientenants for that is $50.For captains.majors, and the higher-up officers.it costs more in accordance Then there is the officer's mess.for which the iee might well he anything, and which 1s a constant drain on his financial ve.European and American Plan, Rates from $2.00 per day up.Telephone 1647.M.15xtu,th,stxbas ASSIA NEPTUNE INN Jo TC LAVALLE® puup, Ak 115 Mouneain Ho À —# : American au.—0pean Plan #~ Chis Attached 10 H nel » Close tv Boas.Elevator, Can vow Traine § inna tna QUFPE" GOTHIC Tne new ARROW 2 tor 25c COLLAR IT PITS THE CRAVAT EEE A HUNDRED YEARS 460 TODAY What Military Occupation Means.After the battle of Waterloo and during the occupation of France by the Allles the following were the regulations put imo force by Prince Blucher.in the Provinces occupied by the Prussian troops.“The natires who have remaibed to the good cause will be specially advanced, and the Perfects and Mayors who vince Napoleons return.from FEiba have been placed as bis special friends will be arrested and2their property sequestered.The inhabitants are to de disarmed.All sequestered property forms the mil itary fund and is designed to indemnify the other inhabitants from tie damage sustained by the war and the requisitions.The army is to be maintained, clothed, paid and armed at the expense of the enemy's country and the following articles required for the accupied provinces: 150,080 pairs of shoes, 150000 coats, 40,000 prs.boots, 150,000 cloaks 150,006 prs.of breeches, 150,000 prsof gaiters, 150.000 leather caps, 100,000 kettles and drinking vessels, 100,000 horse shoes, 3,000 horses, half saddle, half draught horses, and four million of francs to make good the arrears of pay.Any one who is an adherent of Bonaperte shall in any emasure resist this regulation, shall be immediately arrested;
