SAV A ES 0 d Authorities, figned the following articles, which agreed with the brders, inftruétionss and intentions of the different Sqvereigns.ARTICLE L That there fubfift a conftant and eternal peace itt all parts-of the world, as well by (ea as land, between the Spanifh and-Portugueze | nations.All former hoftilities to be buried in oblivion, ratifying by this the treaties of the 13th of February, 1668, the 6th of February, 1715, and the roth of February, 1763, as if they were inferted word for word in the ptefent treaty, provided, that in this and any other executive confequential treaty, no material difference fbould arife.ARTICLE IL All prifoners, as well by fea as land, to be dire@ly releafed, without any other condition than that of paying their own debts contraéted in their refpeétive abodes.All fhipping, artillery, ammunition, merchandize, cargoes, jewels, &c.&c.which have been taken on either fide fince the treaty of Paris in February 1763, to be reciptocally reftored in three months, if poffible, from the date of this treaty, with all the prizes either by land or fea, and the effects and money of the refpeétive prifoners, including thofe in the reciprocal ceded territories.This is the whole of the treaty given in the Utretch Gazette.N E W-Y O R K, September 3.| By a gentleman from Weft-Jerfey we learn, that fo great is the panic which the incurfion of the brave and fortunate Col.Butler, and his Indian allies, has ftruck on the frontier fettlers, that they have univerfally abandoned their habitations and crouded into that province, in fuch numbers as to raife the rent of land and houfes upwards of fifty per cent.fince the month of June laft.~ We are informed that the Court Martial, conftituted by the rebels, for the trial of their famous General Lee, has fentenced him to be fufpended twelve months for the crimes of cowardice and difobedience of orders.| + Nothing could equal the chagrin of the Count D\u2019Eftaing when he returned to Rhode-Ifland, and found the garrifon of Newport unmolcfted, and much better prepared to give him a warm reception than at his laft re-encounter.The ¢onfabulation between him and the rebel Generals was exceeding acrimonious: They accufed him of making an oftentatious parade with the powerful ficet under his command, without doing any eflential fervice, and he retorted by affirming, that after having facilitated their defcent upon the Ifland, which they never could have effected without his affiftance, their prowefs and valour had fallen fhort of his expectation, fo that: he was reduced to the neceflity of putting again to fea, before a purfuing enemy, to find a port to repair his fhattered fleet.On Tuefday laft was fent in here by the Letter of marque floop George and Elizabeth, belonging to Meflrs.Moore and Neale, a fchooner and a floop from Virginia, laden with tobacco, &e.Early on Monday morning à party of 20 Yagers were attacked near Valentine\u2019s hill, by a body of rebels, confifting of feveral hurr- dreds, who killed 13 of the Yagers, the remaining {even made good their retreat.After which the Lieutenant-colonels Simcoe and Emmerich marched with joint detachments from the 2d battalion of De Lancey\u2019s brigade, Lord Cathcart\u2019s Legion, and the Queen's Rangers, fell in with and engaged a body of rebels and Indians, of the Stockbridge tribe, the latter under the command of their chief Sachem Nimham, who, with his fon, fought with defperation, until a great number were killed ; the enemy then fled in the great- eft confufion; of 48 Indians only fix, and of 60 draughts from fundry rebel corps, only eight returned.This lofs is acknowledged by the rebels themfelves.There were on the fide of the Royalifts, two killed and one wounded, of Lord Cathcart\u2019s Legion ;
