or by in- \u2018\u201c land navigation,\u201d 1 is among other things enatted that for and during the contineance of the fa-d AR it fhould and might Le lawful for the G.vernor, Lieutenant Governor or perfon admimitering the Govern ment of this Province for the time being, with the advice of His M -jel- ty\u2019s Executive Council, by Order or Orders to be from time to time iflued and publifhed, to fulpend the operation of the whoie, or of any part or parts of ary Or:inance or Ordinances, or of any A& or A&s of the Legiflature of the Province relative to Trade and Intercourfe by land or inland navigation between the People and Territories of His Majetty in this Province andthe People and Territories of the United States of America, any Law, Statute, Cuftom or Utage to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding.And whereas the {aid A& has by divers Ads of the Provincial Parliament been from time to time continued and 1s ftill in force in this Province; and whereas the exportation of Gunpowder and other warlike ftores has, by Proclamation bearing date the 12th day of this inftant, Augufl, been prohibited ; for the purpofe, thercfore, of rendering fuch Proclamation more effe@ual, by virtue and in purfuance of the powers by fuch Aft confered, Fhs Honour ue PresiDENT doth by and with\u2019 the advice and content of His Majelty's Executive Council of and for the faid Province, hereby order and dire@ that no Gunpowder be from and after the day of the date hereof, removed or taken from or out of any of llis Majettys Magazines, Stores, Warchoules or Places of Depolit in this Province by any perfon or perfons whomfoe- ver, unlefs fuch perfon or perfon:, {0 intending to take or remove the fame {hall Arlt obta:n from Efis Honour the Prefident, or from the Governor, Lieutenant Goveinor, or Pesrfon adminiltering the Government for the time being, or from lome Perfon or Perfons duly authorized by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor or Peifon admiuniftering the Government in that behalf, a Licence, Gr Permit in writing, authorizing and allowing fuch Gunpowder to be fo removed or taken from (uch Magazines, Stores, Warehoufes or Places of Depofit.And His
