that even within the prime minister's own party there is widespread discontent.As such this rebuke was far more important than the fact that the party wheelhorses were able to get 80 per cent of the delegates to endorse party action since the election 18 months ago and avoid strong opposition on contentious issues.In actual fact the 80 per cent didn’t appear any more impressive as a group than they did as individuals when they indicated contentment with how things are going.By their very numbers and their follow-along attitude they did temper the rebuke.In so doing they made the policy conference look more than ordinarily stage- managed instead of being the guidance conclave the party bills it as.; CX Now it is up to Trudeau, than whom at this point there seems no better alternative.The least Canadians can expect from him, however, is a little less arrogance and perhaps even some of the humility he showed when he had to relinquish minority government - which he handled very deftly - and came out seeking votes.Hopefully, he might do even more and listen to the people.@ Letters to the Editor "ee., To Hell in handbasket but slower than others Ormsiown, | Nov.4.The Editor, The Gleaner, Dear Sir: In today’s Canada of over-rated pleasures and under-rated treasures such things as national pride and personal dignity appear to belong in the category of comedy.When, oh when, are we Canadians going to wake up to the sorry state of important matters in the land and do something about it?To mention merely a clutch of things that contribute to our current ill-being* The postal strike, strikes in general and leadership and legislation in particular.At this time of writing, the postal strike is still in effect it may be possibly over by the time of reading.However the word ‘‘over’”’ has a misleading sound of finality and lately is confused with appeasement.This in itself can never be an acceptable form of settlement.The dreary ‘first you then me’' sequence of strikes can be expected to continue in their monotony, milking the public with their ‘‘grab all you can” methods, regardless of the consequences.After all, strike leaders are taking their cue from the forerunners of all inflationary actions government at all levels and the cartels and monopolies at most levels.Today it is difficult to accep’ the short- sightedne:s of government in giving tiie unions their present right to strike.How could any leadership body be so short sighted as not to foresee the inconceivable havoc tha would result to the detriment of national progress, monetary values and public feeling in general.One must assume that the government either continues to choose the easy path of temporary peace by appeasement or in some insidious manner is associated with the unions in a reprehensible position that cannot be defined as for the good of the people.There seems no other believable explanation for the puzzling status of justice in Canada, the lack of dignity, now associated with working for a living, and most important of all the complete lack of proper professional action to solve and eliminate forever most of the plaguing problems that exist in today’s society.Canada defaults No other country in the world is in a better position than Canada to lead the world out of today’s general apathy, both moral and physical.Yet we are bombarded with the stupid reasoning that whatever our undesirable problem is, the same situation is worse somewhere else.Why should parity, or lack of parity, in unprogressiveness with any other country be of any interest to us at all?Odious comparison of our own lot with that of other worse-off states does rothing whatever to remedy our ills and is, at best, cold comfort.Among our leaders there appears to be an acceptance of the fact that while the rest of the world goes to Hell in a hand basket we are going to go along too and isn’t it nice that our pace on the road to ruin is slower than the others?What complacency! What idiocy! And how terrifying if one considers the state of our compatriot nations! In Britain the infiltration of pompous men of low calibre and dubious masculinity into the halls of government allowed unions to bring the Empire to its knees.Witness also today’s indignities that are surely being introduced to this continent.The succeeding (continued on page 5) Old highway numbers had pioneer flavor Anderson Corner, Nov.4.The Gleaner Dear Sir: While 1 realize “that in these times of high prices, low wages, welfare bums, middlemen, conmen and charlatans, things are pretty bad, there is one issue that I wish to bring to the attention of Gleaner readers.It concerns the new numbers for the highways in our Valley.First of all what was the matter with the old ones?1 really liked 4 and 52 as numbers-they had a certain basic integrity and simplicity that is all too rare these days.1 presume these numbers daté back quite a ways and probably were thought up by the people of the Valley in pioneer days.Jung's views I am not sure how many Gleaner readers are familiar with C.G.Jung’s theories on the collective unconscious and archtypes.In any case these old numbers were probably the direct result CRONINRSEIEITN ORRIN OTN RANI N TORII RENEE ONO NRE NT NRIOL O EURO ORT SIO ONION NEON T OO RI INNES HIRO EEA TITER O EERO RIES R NEON RNS T IIR ATOT ENON NEED UBIO OREN NII R RR ORRS ANIA TR ORTON RINO RENT DEEN LENE NIRA NUE E NOM ED) Zoning.restrictions which will prescribe the minimum from page 1 necessity of providing services which could be Chateauguay Valley.We we wish to avoid.“As of now Franklin Municipality is one of the few unspoiled areas in the size of lots and how they must conform to the regulations governing provision of municipal services such as sewage, water and so on.“What we are seeking to avoid is the uncontrolled development of an area for residential or recreational purposes and then find the municipality faced with the much more costly than would be the case if proper zoning regulations are in force,” said Mayor Latreille.“We have examples of this on both sides of us in the Project Plante in Havelock Municipality and at Davignon Park in Hinchinbrooke, he added.“This is the type of thing want to keep it that way.” ‘‘Basically our aim is to.set aside areas for commercial development, for residential, orchard and agricultural operations while at the same time preserving the character of the area, protect property values and ensure the future of the area in a financial way through avoidance of costly demands for service installations.Time short “In my view there is not a moment to waste and the longer zoning is delayed the more problems arise and it becomes too difficult and too costly to make changes.” Latreille said that during the past summer he had occasion to discuss zoning with Mayor Real Racine of Godmanchester and the i 3 a x .hl PE n 4 see NS Tr as pe AN.Rn A aL Pictures o Be RRS p et 0 Lu Eee RES A «x.Bank of Comme The Eastern Townships bank moved into this building ia 1995.À few years later, the institution changed it's name to the Imperial Bank of Commerce.The fountain f the Past rce in front of the building was donated to the town in 1908 by the Temperance Society.{Drawing by John Ryan, Huntingdon.Xv latter had suggested this was so important it should be taken up at the county council level.“That's a good idea,” said Latreille.‘“The whole Chateauguay Valley area is urgently in need of zoning.But here in Franklin we felt it was so urgent for us that to wait until there was action at the county level would take far too long.” At Franklin Council's November meeting Councillor Peter Ednie provided the portent of things to come when he gave notice of a motion to be introduced at the next, or failing that the following, council meeting.This motion will produce a by-law abrogating current municipal regulations governing building and construction so that these can be replaced by an up- to-date zoning program embracing the whole municipality.Latreille said the need for zoning has long been apparent to him.He first became aware of it when he moved to St.Antoine several years ao and took over the manager's job at the Caisse Populaire.It has been one of his main objectives since then and since his election as mayor of the municipality two years ago.Aubrey - Riverfield Mrs.James Crawford Findlay Milne and Carmen Goundrey from Riverfield laid wreaths at the Riverfield Remembrance Day service, of positive interaction between man and his environment - that is, they had some basis for existence.They came from the people.The highways were numbered by the pedple for the people.* Now take the new numbers where do these numbers come from?Who made them up?Had this invisible person ever been to our Valley or driven on beautiful highway 52?Or is it just a red line on a map to some civil servant sitting in his cushy chair in some glass and concrete tower in Quebec City?Bureaucracies will continue to usurp the decision-making privileges of the people they govern.While 138 and 202 may be a step forward in somebody's mind, to me the old numbers were better and simpler.l suggest buttons with the legend ‘‘138 and 202 does not equal 4 and 52" be printed and a committee formed to, at least in spirit, fight the repeal of the numbers.I would be interested in hearing any response pro, con or otherwise.R.Raxien Births and Deaths Cards of Thanks, In Memoriams, Marriage Notices, Engagements, Announcements (DEADLINE 4 PM.MONDAYS) EET ALARY- Richard and Georgette [nee Deniger] are proud to announce the birth of their son, Marc André, 6 lbs.13 ozs.on Tuesday, August 26, 1975, at the Valleyfield Hospital.Baptized on October 26, 1975 the proud godfather and godmother are Mr.and Mrs.George Alary.EKINS - $3 billion for a very short lived and probably very troublesome Olympic Games; retirement funds to civil servants entirely out of proportion to their ability or achievement; sick pay equivalent to the annual income of three or four laborers; the dredging scandal etc.‘They all add up how much who can demand from who and for what.The common denominator , sadly enough is that all have been given governmental leadership, sanction and blessing.Welfare has become as large a monster-and as out of order in its function and consequence as unionism.What worker can reconcile the : difference between what he earns and what he takes home as essential to give continously and in greater amounts to the now four consecutive generations of welfare recipients?There is something pitiful and stupid in the hypocrisy that allows us to express how Christian we are, simply during the postal strike there have been some special considerations for the distribution of welfare cheques.No matter that at the same time our leaders, through their failure to end the strike-or even bringing us to this impasse for that matter-have placed in poor priority the necessity of business.commercial and medical mail.From this one could easily conceive the idea that everyone should stop working and producing.live on charity and handouts forever and ever in constant and permanent bliss.Yours truly, Ken Story I > GAIL] Tn ‘ 7 à: + Ms 2 YOUNG RIDERS OFFICERS: At the annual awards banquet of the Huntingdon Young Country Riders new officers were elected for 1976.Left to right: Johnson from page 1 The Village has sold 10 more lots to Dauphinais Construction for the total price of $25,000.The lots are part of Lot 631 but are separate from the Municipality's low-cost housing project.A resolution was passed requesting the bank to approve the temporary loans for the fire station and water and sewer projects in the village (By- Laws 111, 106, 113, 114).Hydro-Quebec will be requested to install street lights on Isabelle, Linda, and Adele Sts.Parish Council The St.Malachy Parish Council, at its Nov.4 meeting, requested the Department of Transport to repair the Island Road Bridge, after a resident of the area complained about the poor condition of the plank surface and about some bent braces supporting the bridge.Seven tenders for the installation of water and sewer services on the Jamestown Road were opened, and the lowest, from Asphalte Salaberry Inc., in the amount of $235,240.90, was accepted and will be forwarded to the Quebec Department of Municipal Affairs for final approval and scheduling of grants.Hydro-Quebec will be asked to install street lights on Rte.201 between the.property of Laurent Thomas and the Botreaux Range.Because of a dangerous exit onto Rte.138 from C.V.R., the Roads Department has been requested to install 45 M.P.H.speed limit signs in front of the school.A donation of $500 was made to the Ormstown Lions Club for the operation of the skating rink.The Council is requesting the Quebec government to approve a taxi permit for the Parish.If you want to sell an item or service, the Classified Ads columns of The Gleaner are your quickest, most reliable way to find an interested party.Phone 264-5364: 264- 5365.A JE LIBRARY.VAY &= ADU WEDNESDAY: 80 DIFFERENT MAGAZINE 10:00 PM.AN be ANOTHER SERVICE FD « SEAPAC CONTINUING EDU PRSB, CHATERUGUAÂ] VA s name1976 executive Presbyteens I lay plans ~ for service The Georgetown Presbyteens held their third meeting of the new season at the home of Robert Barr on Nov.9 when the upcoming church service which the Presbyteens will be leading was discused.A charade of Bible stories was played The roll call and minutes were taken by Wendy Snook.The scripture, Psalm 67, was read by Bonnie Baillie followed by Carolyn Elliot who presented the prayer.Keith Chisolm gave a treasurer's report and the meeting was adjourned with a prayer by Carol Snook.A singalong was held and refreshments brought by Keith Chisolm, were served.Howieson treasurer; three grandsons, Donald, Jimmy and Billy Morrison and five great grandchildren.The pall bearers at the funeral were Russell Stewart, James B.Elliot, Douglas Ness and Archie Roy.Support Your Local Independent Businessman.He helps YOUR community grow and prosper! G11) GI 6 2 A Ld A n N 3 Le Pv 2 es ON os, Wilson n centre bazaar a busy time The past two weeks have been a busy time for members of the Craft Recreation Centre with the annual bazaar attracting most of their attention.I am sure they would like me to thank all of their friends and neighbors who, by their presence at the sale and tea, contributed so much to its success.As in the past, the Centre will use the money raised from this event for the purchase of new material for both the craft and recreational aspects of the group.In addition funds will be available for expansion of our craft inventory and for social and cultural events.Varied program In recent years the Centre has found itself in the happy position of being able to offer the members a variety of programs outside of those usually held on Wednesdays.Drives into the country at various times of the year, special entertainment at Christmas, films and musical programs are a few of the events held during the past few years.Because the expenses incurred by these programs are paid for from the monies raised through the bazaar, no additional fees are requested from the members.This enables all members, regardless of their financial position, to participate in cultural and social activities which might otherwise be denied to them.This system, whereby workmanship and talent have real value, works remarkably well, placing all members on an equal footing.One can understand the importance of this aspect of the Centre's purpose when many of its members are living on fixed incomes while inflation appears still on the rise.At the close of the bazaar, the winning raffle tickets were drawn by Gordon Ferry, Mrs.Flora Stephens and William Dawson.The winners were Mrs.Myrtle Cruikshank, Mark Duheme and Mrs.J.Redmond.We hope that they enjoy their prizes as much as the members enjoyed making them.Strike a factor Because of the postal situation the Centre is experiencing some difficulty in receiving new materials.Craft supplies, especially those needed for Christmas gifts and decorations, must be ordered by phone and sent express or by bus or purchased personally.If you would like to work on a project requiring special material, please indicate your preferences and every effort will be made to find supplies for you.In the meantime we do have felt, crepe paper, styrofoam ’ balls and wreath forms and many other Christmas supplies on hand.We be received a donation of white candle wax which will be available to members who enjoy making candles at home.Other than the excursion Nov.24, there are no special programs planned for the month of November.Please note that the Centre will not be open for its usual hours on Wednesday Dec.10.You will be notified as to the change later on this month.The Centre will be open as usual on Dec.17 which will be the final day before the Christmas holidays.Due to the postal strike, volunteers will not receive mailed notices regarding the next volunteers meeting.Please note that it will be held on Tuesday, Nov.25 at 8 PM in the Legion Hall.This is one week earlier than usual.Last Wednesday the tea and refreshments were served and provided by the members.Birthday greetings were sung to Rita Curran and Dorothy Gaw neither of whom looked a day older than the last time we saw them.Have a good week everyone and we look forward to seeing yo soon! journey towards the promised land.There are always manv difficulties to be met as one journeys through life and we need to hold the same vision and goals as the Israelites - THE GLEANER — NOVEMBER 12 1975 Huntingdon-Ormstown Pari There are a lot of things, says the Rev.Brian Prideaux, that a priest in a country parish can do that he can’t do in the citv.These include getting involved in the whole community rather than just his own congregation.“He can also be a Cub and Scout Master (with a Wood Badge, no less!) and a volunteer fireman, " says Prideaux who ministers as rector to the Anglican parish of Huntingdon- Ormstown.‘‘He can also supply teach when teachers he knows are unwell." Prideaux and the rural Huntingdon-Ormstown parish were featured in the just-published first edition beyond doubt.“In the midst of ¢orn fields and cow pastures, just a few miles north of the American border, lies the Parish of Huntingdon - Ormstown,” says the paper.“St.John's (Huntingdon) and St.James' Churches (Ormstown) were quite separate from the time of their Dedication in the 18 30s until about 15 years ago when they were amalgamated.There are three congregations-one in the two towns in the Title and one at Chri#t Church in Franklin Centre which only mot are) has services during the ~*~ & 1 summer months, at Christmas and at Easter.’ The art of having combined Parish Council meetings and separate Vestry meetings is one with which the Church Wardens have to wrestle.Arthur Henderson and Milton Hooker, the Wardens in Ormstown, and Alan Helm with Gordon Duke, the Wardens in Huntingdon, meet regularly, combining their experience of farming, business and the textile industry for the efficient running of the Church.PORTIS REV.BRIAN PRIDEAUX Lav-readers The Huntingdon- Ormstown Parish, like all Anglican parishes is the centre of worship and in this are the Lay- Readers: Leigh Coffin, Roger Sevigny, Roland Greenbank, John Sancton and Jack Johnson who all assist with services in all th churches as well as travelling to Valleyfield periodically to help this neighboring congregation.And.as in every parish, the Ladies Guild is important.It is the stalwart backbone of social and monetary matters, conducting teas, bazaars, military whists and auctions, all of which are popular.Prideaux.-an English- born Montrealer married a fellow theological student, Lorna Patterson.the year before graduation in the ordained in i968.His first appointment was to Mascouche - al three point parish, and where Brian was the Chaplain of the Federal Maximum Security Prison.In Huntingdon- Ormstown the Prideauxs are busy and happy.with their three children; Kimberly, 6 years old, Pamela, 5 years and Christopher, a baby of six months, For Prideaux one small, nagging worry stems from the Churchman article, The last time he was featured in a diocesan paper the Bishop moved him soon afterward.“I hope this isn't going to happen again,” he said.sh featured in Diocesan paper as a ‘country parson’ but we do, indeed, love this part of the province.” TT A.E.LEPAGE 11 WESTMOUNT REALTIES| on met le feu dans des poubelles pleines de papier; on arrache des poignées de portes etc.— A certaines heures, on peut sentir des odeurs de drogue; et il semble que le problème a son plus fort niveau depuis les dernières années: — L’absentéisme scolaire est de plus en plus fréquent, prouvant que le contrôle manque quelque peu.A dix heures le matin, on peut voir une masse de jeunes étudiants supposément de la polyvalente: Arthur Pigeon se promener dans les rues de la municipalité: de Huntingdon.De ce fait, découlent d'autres incidents majeurs tels que des vols et des actes de vandalisme.— Une descente, (Suite à la page 22 Au conseil de Huntingdon: La police demande un autre véhicule Mardi, le 4 novembre dernier, avait lieu la première assemblée du conseil après les élections municipales.En sorte, le conseil reçut une première demande, et elle provenait de la Fraternité des Policiers de Huntingdon.En effet, le président de la Fraternité, le sergent Philippe Cardinal, se présentait devant le conseil afin de leur demander de faire l’achat d’un autre véhicule de police, mais non marqué.Le sergent Cardinal adressa une lettre aux membres du conseil, et des copies conjointes furent dirigées également au chef de police Joffre L'Heureux, au président du comité de police, l’échevin J.S.Gaw, et.à la Commission de Police du Québec.Le Sergent Cardinal nota qu'à plusieurs reprises, dans le passé, une telle demande avait été rejetée * par la vilie, et il mentionna que, cette fois, le tout était officiel et que diverses personnes recevront une telle lettre.A la suite de cette demande, le conseil municipal affirma qu'il était impossible de se plier à cela, cette année, à cause d'un certain manque budgétaire.Il se pourrait, toutefois, que, lors du prochain budget, le tout soit étudié sérieusement, et qu'une décision soit prise.Le Sergent Cardinal notait dans sa lettre quelques raisons rendant nécessaire le véhicule non marqué pour le service de la police.En voici les principales’ ePour Une meilleure surveillance de jour ou de nuit, car il est très difficile de faire de la surveillance avec un véhicule de police, tel que filature, surveillance pour vols, dommages à la propriété.Car le véhicule de police est souvent repéré de loin avec sa couleur et sa barre sur le toit pour les feux clignotants: sÀ plusieurs reprises durant le mois, le véhicule de police est envoyé au garage, et à ce moment, le policier en devoir est soit à pieds ou doit se servir de son véhicule personnel avec tous les risques que cela comporte tel l'assurance-auto, etc… eLors des parades et autres activités dans la municipalité, le véhicule de police ouvre le défilé à ce moment: un autre véhicule | Vous recevrez vos comptes Les comptes ae wae scolaire de la locale de Huntingdon seront prêts d’ici quelques jours, et les gens de la région les recevront même si la poste est en grève.C'est ce que le directeur général de la Commission Scolaire de Huntingdon, Alphonse Caron, nous annonçait lundi matin.En ce qui concerne les secteurs ruraux, la Commission Scolaire ira porter les comptes de taxe aux bureaux de poste.Il n’y a donc pas de problème dans ces secteurs.Pour les villes de Huntingdon et de Valleyfield, la Commission Scoiaire locale engagera des personnes qui feroni la distribution des comptes de taxe à la porte.M.Caron nota que, pour les gens de Montréal, la locale devra.tout simplement attendre.devrait être disponible pour les appels d'urgence: eLors d’arrestation pour le test d'ivressomètre, le policier doit se rendre à .Valleyfield ou à Ste- Martine.Lors des transferts de prisonniers à la prison commune de Valleyfield.A chaque fois qu'un tel événément se produit, la ville est alors sans véhicule de patrouille; ePrésentement, le Sergent Cardinal se sert de son propre véhicule et est payé 0.18 sous du mille, mais à chaque assemblée lors de la lecture des montants à payer ou du millage parcouru, il y a discussion ce qui.indirectement, empêche l'enquêteur de faire les démarches nécessaires à la bonne marches des enquêtes: eL'enquêteur qui doit se servir de son propre véhicule n'est pas équipé de radio ou téléphone.ce qui fait que lorsque l'enquêteur sort du poste de police, aucun contact n'est plus possible même s'il s'agirait de trouble majeur.C'est en effet pour ces raisons qu'une telle demande fut adressée au conseil municipal de Huntingdon, de dire le sergent Cardinal.Deux vols à Ste-Barbe Le détachement de Huntingdon de la Sûreté du Québec rapportait cette semaine deux autres vols par effraction dans des chalets à Ste-Barbe.Moteur : Un moteur hors-bord de 45 forces fut volé d'un garage privé à Ste-Barbe, Le tout est propriété de Jean-Paul St-Onge, de Moutréal.Le moteur était de marque Chrysler.Le total de vol est de $1,300.L'agent Marc-André Germain, du détachement local, fut chargé de l’enquête.Plusieurs choses: Au chalet d'été d’Omer Langlais à Ste-Barbe, un ou des malfaiteurs entrèrent par effraction, causant des dommages de l'ordre de $25, et ils firent main basse sur plusieurs objets, le tout d'une valeur approximative de $400.Les objets volés sont un système d'air conditionné, un coffre à pêche, deux lignes avec moulinet, un radio AM-FM portatif, des poélons et un séchoir à cheveux.L'agent Arthur Authier, du détachement de Huntingdon, fut chargé de l’enquête.sein de la municipalité de ee Huntingdon, OBTENEZ RESULTATS TEL: 264-5364 DES a Le Jour du Souvenir fut amplement respecté au dimanche.par l'organisation d'une parade, d'un 1 service religieux et d'une visite au cénotaphe au parc Prince Arthur.pr ok je i MO TA SAR 1 Le Jour du Souvenir rappelle des mements cadet de la Marine, tête baissée, respecte ce tristes et tragiques pour plusieurs personnes.Un moment à Progressiste-Conservateur.combattants morts pour la patrie.NE la memoire aes nombreux Réunion générale a Huntingdon Dimanche le 23 novembre prochain, à 1.30 hres p.m.se déroulera en la salle paroissiale de Huntingdon, l'assemblée générale de l'Association Progressiste- Conservatrice du comté de Beauharnois-Salaberry.Cette assemblée générale est rendue nécessaire suite à l’annonce du Congrès au ““leadership’’ qui se tiendra à Ottawa en février prochain.Au cours de cette réunion fort importante pour tous les militants Conservateurs, les membres de I’ Association choisiront les délégués qui représenteront le comté au Congrès et éliront un nouveau président pour remplacer M.Laurent Cyr président actuel, ex- candidat aux dernières élections fédérales a droit de vote en tant que tel et ne peut voter comme président de l'Association en plus.Donc pour satisfaire au règlement et pour permettre à un autre délégué d'assister au Congrès et de voter, le président Cyr cède sa place.Lors de cette même assemblée, les membres devront confirmer le comité provisoire comme étant permanent ou élire un nouveau bureau de direction, car lors de l'assemblée générale d'avril dernier, il était entendu que le comité provisoire reviendrait devant les membres pour donner un rapport de son travail durant les sept premiers mois et que les Comité provisoire, Les hôtes de cette assemblée seront Messieurs Léo Capiello, vice-président de l'Association et Henr; il devrait emprunter plutôt le pont Walker.Et vice-versa, pour celui qui veut se rendre sur larue Chateauguay, au coeur même de la ville.II ne faut pas oublier que plusieurs personnes âgées aiment marcher.C’est un fait.I] ne faut pas leur enlever ce droit, mais il faut cependant leur donner de meilleurs possibilités.Donc, c’est à penser sérieusement, et non pas se déclarer en faveur d’un tel site, sans avoir pesé le pour et le contre.H faut que le gouvernemtnt soit conscient de toute la situation, et prenne par la suite la meilleure décision possible.Ici, on ne veut pas prendre position pour un endroit précis ou pour un autre, mais on veut démontrer qu’il y a plusieurs aspects à voir, étudier et vraiment constater avant de s’arrêter sur un choix définitif.L'administration municipale de la ville de Huntingdon devrait faire en sorte que ces aspects soient respectés lors du choix de l'emplacement du complexe de logement à prix modique pour les ' personnes âgées, dans l'intérêt de tous.rene Le 5 octobre dernier, avait lieu à St-Stanislas-de- Kostka une soirée bien spéciale marquant le 40e anniversaire de mariage de M.et Mme Jean Durocher, de St-Anicet.Cette fête fut organisée > par M.et Mme Edmour Perras.Les deux ;
